One for last weekend obliged in the shape of Sage King who we labelled at 24/10 and he came home, returning an SP of 33/20

It's Turffontein again on Saturday and as was the case last week, we turn to Race 3 for our selection.

Turffontein on Saturday 16th September, Race 3, Due off at 13:15

Race 3 is a maiden plate for the girls over 1700m. Mike de Kock has two runners, one being a first timer Champagne Cocktail who, at the time of writing, was your 5/2 favourite. The yard and the breeding has to be respected and a market check late morning might not be a bad move but we are happy to go with the current second favourite, No 1 Heart Peaks.

Robbie Sage's filly has had 4 runs and she hit the post last time out when finishing as runner up when backed from 33-10 to 13/10. In her two previous runs Heart Peaks wasn't too far behind White Pearl, another de Kock filly who looks smart. She steps up in trip to 1700m now and in our view she boasts the best form of those with experience. If the first timer is in need of the experience then Heart Peaks, if handling the extra distance should be the one to beat.

Note, odds are correct at the time of wring but are subject to change

One for the Weekend, Saturday 16th September

Turffontein Race 3, No.1 Heart Peaks to win at 33/10

Update - 9am Saturday our selection has drifted to 33/10 from 11/4 as money has arrived for the first timer but we will stand by our pick
