Chennai Super Kings

The Super Kings get a second bite at the cherry when it comes to reaching the final. On Tuesday they were beaten by Mumbai Indians by a 6 wicket margin in Chennai in the first qualifier. CSK posted 131/4 in that game with Rayadu (42) and Dhoni (37) unbeaten at the death after a slow start. In the chase both Mumbai openers fell cheaply but Suryakumar Yadav hit 71 not out and Mumbai got home in 18.3 overs.

In the regular season the platform for success was built in the first half of the tournament with 7 wins in their first 8 matches.

MS Dhoni is top CSK batsmen with 405 runs in just 10 innings. Suresh Raina has 364 from 15 knocks and Faf du Plessis has 320 from 10 innings.

Imran Tahir is leading wicket taker for CSK with 23 in 15 matches, Deepak Chahar has 17 and Harbhajan Singh has 14.

Delhi Capitals

Delhi finished just behind CSK in the regular season and they had to run the gauntlet of an eliminator against the Sunrisers at this venue on Wednesday. It proved to be another thriller as Delhi got home for a 2 wicket win with 1 ball to spare. Having restricted the Sunrisers to 162/8 the Capitals took control with Shaw making 56 at the top of the order and Pant smashed 49 in just 21 balls. However wickets tumbled towards the end as Delhi prevailed in a nervous conclusion.

In the regular season Delhi Capitals finished with a record of 9 wins and 5 defeats and taking the eliminator into account they have won 5 of their last 6.

Shikhar Dhawan is their top run scorer with 503 runs, Shreyas Iyer has 450 as does Rishabh Pant (all from 15 matches).

With the ball Kagiso Rabada took 25 wickets in 12 matches before injury ended his tournament. Chris Morris has claimed 13 in 9 outings and Ishant Sharma has 12 wickets against his name

Betting Angle

Although CSK have beaten the Capitals twice this season Delhi do have an advantage of having played their eliminator at this venue.

The match result looks tricky but we saw 16 maximums in the eliminator on this ground and hence 13 or more in this game gets the vote.
