CSK have won both of their matches so far with a degree of comfort. They started with a 7 wicket victory at home to RCB who they bowled out for just 70 runs in Match 1. Next time out CSK travelled to Delhi for a date with the Capital’s and this time the victory margin was 6 wickets. The Super Kings chased down a victory target of 148 in Delhi with Shane Watson top scoring with 44 although they got home with just 2 balls to spare.
Rajasthan Royals
Rajasthan Royals were in action on Friday away to the Sunrisers and despite posting a healthy 198/2 with Samson (102) and Rahane (70) the star performers, the Sunrisers got home with an over to spare and 5 wickets in tact.
The Royals started their tournament with a controversial 14 run home defeat to the Kings XI when Joss Butler (69) was “run out” just as they looked to be on course to chase down a hefty target of 185 for victory.
