lordsLords is the venue for the second ODI between England and India on Thursday and after an emphatic win in the opening contest India lead the series 1-0 with two to play

The opening match of the series was staged at The Oval on Tuesday. England were trading as 8/10 favourites on the morning of the game with India at even money but it was a totally one sided contest with India cruising to a 10 wicket victory.

India won the toss and opted to bowl first on Tuesday and Jasprit Bumrah wasted no time in tearing into the England batting line up. Bumrah claimed 6 England wickets and the Man of the Match award as England were bowled out for just 110 in 25.2 overs. Shami took 3 wickets and Prasidh 1 as 4 England batsmen failed to score and Jos Buttler's 30 was the top score.

The “chase”, if you can call it that, was completed in just 18.4 overs with Rohit Sharma scoring 76 and Dhawan 31

The third and final ODI will be staged at Old Trafford, Manchester on Sunday.

This was how the teams lined up at The Oval on Tuesday.

England: Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler (c & wk), Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Craig Overton, David Willey, Brydon Carse, Reece Topley

The Betting - 2nd ODI

At the time of writing England are even money to win the match and India are 8/10

Bairstow and Root are both priced at 11/4 to top score for England and Dhawan, Kohli (who sat out the first ODI with a groin problem but could return here) and Rohit Sharma are all 3/1 to do likewise for India

The Verdict

England were just too bad to be true at The Oval and their powerful batting line up could be stung into action after being torn apart by Bumrah. However my preference is to focus on the India side for a betting interest.

I like the look of Rohit Sharma to score a 50 for India and and given England's bowling attack looks the weaker of the two sides I will go with any Indian batsman to score a Lords ton.

Bets: To score a half century, Rohit Sharma? (yes) at 6/4

Century scored by India ? (yes) at 13/8
