CWC India150England's tour of India concludes with three One Day Internationals, the first of which takes place in Pune on Tuesday and we take a look at the squads, form and the all important betting.

India won the test series at the start of this tour 3-1 and the T20 series went to the wire with India coming out on top 3-2. Pune is the venue for all 3 of the ODI's and we start with a look at the squads

India squad: Virat Kohli (captain), Rohit Sharma (vice-captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), KL Rahul (wicket-keeper), Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Krunal Pandya, Washington Sundar, T Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Md. Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Shardul Thakur.

England: Eoin Morgan (C), Moeen Ali, Jonathan Bairstow, Sam Billings, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Liam Livingstone, Matt Parkinson, Adil Rashid, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, Reece Topley, Mark Wood

Recent ODI Form

India's only ODI action in the last 12 months came in Australia in November / December 2020, a series they lost 2-1, going down in the first 2 contests before gaining consolation in the third. In February 2020 they lost 3-0 in New Zealand

England were busy in this format in 2020 although a 3 match series in South Africa in December was cancelled. In September the World Champions were beaten 2-1 at home by Australia and just prior to that they were surprisingly turned over by Ireland although they did win that series 2-1.

Recent Head to Head

The most recent meeting came in the World Cup of 2019 in Birmingham and England defended 337/7 for a 31 run victory with Bairstow top scoring 111 and Rohit Sharma made 102 for India,

In July 2018 England won a home series 2-1.

The England ODI squad was last in India in January 2017, a series India won 2-1.

The Betting, 1st ODI Match Result

India 4/6

England 5/4

Note, odds quoted are available at the time of writing but are subject to change

The Verdict:

England are without Joe Root and Jofra Archer and they face a tough task and my main call is India to cover a handicap which doesn't look overly ambitious.

Bets: Handicap India -1.5 wickets / 7.5 runs at 8/10 with WSB
