The second T20 international between Ireland and South Africa takes place in Belfast on Thursday and the Proteas are 1-0 up with two to play
The recently concluded ODI series between these sides ended all square at 1-1 (no result possible in the opening match) and the Proteas drew first blood in the T20's with a 33 run victory in Dublin on Monday.
Ireland won the toss and opted to bowl first on Monday and they restricted South Africa to 165/7. Aiden Markram top scored with 39 and David Miller was next best with 28. The Proteas hit 4 maximums and Mark Aiden returned figures of 3/39 in his 4 overs whilst Simi Singh (2/19) and Josh Little (2/27) were the more economical.
Ireland lost both openers with just 7 runs on the board. Batting at 5 Harry Tector, our 7/1 tip to top score for hosts obliged with 36 and although number 10 bat Barry McCarthy was not out 30 at the end the game was long since gone and Ireland's reply closed on 132/9. Ireland cleared the ropes just twice and Tabraiz Shamsi (4/27) was the outstanding Proteas bowler, earning the Man of the Match award.
This was how the teams lined up in Dublin on Monday.
Ireland: Andrew Balbirnie (c), Paul Stirling, Kevin O Brien, Harry Tector, George Dockrell, Lorcan Tucker (wk), Shane Getkate, Simi Singh, Mark Adair, Barry McCarthy, Joshua Little
South Africa: Quinton de Kock (wk), Temba Bavuma (c), Janneman Malan, Aiden Markram, Rassie van der Dussen, David Miller, George Linde, Kagiso Rabada, Lizaad Williams, Lungi Ngidi, Tabraiz Shamsi

The Verdict
Ireland had no answer to Shamsi on Monday and although we have a different venue here the Proteas spinner could again be the answer in the top SA bowler market.
In the equivalent market for Ireland I like the look of Simi Singh who bowled well on Monday.
Bets: Top SA bowler Shamsi at 3/1
Top Ireland Bowler Simi Singh at 4/1
