Kings XI Punjab

Kings XI Punjab were in action against Mumbai Indians on Saturday, their first home game of the season and they came through with a comfortable 8 wicket win. Chasing 177 for victory opening pair Rahul (71) and Chris Gayle (40) made a whirlwind start and Agarwal added another 43 as KXP got up in 18.4 overs, hitting 7 maximums in total.

They couldn’t follow up in Kolkata as they came up 28 runs short of the Knight Riders 218/4 despite an unbeaten 59 from David Miller at Eden Gardens.

Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals hosted the Knight Riders on Saturday and we were treated to a Super Over after the scores were tied at 185. Delhi opener Prithvi Shaw hit 99 in his innings and although the Capitals hit just 10 runs in their Super Over, Rabada defended it, conceding just 7 to give his side the win. .

The Capitals started their campaign with an excellent 37 run victory away to Mumbai Indians with their bat first total of 213/6 the platform for success. Their first home game came against the Super Kings and they went down by 6 wickets. Despite 51 from Dhawan they couldn’t repeat the fireworks they put on in Mumbai with their innings closing on 147/6.
