rcb2019Match 35 in the IPL sees Kolkata Knight Riders host Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday and coming into the game RCB remain rooted to foot of the standings.

Kolkata Knight Riders

After a good start the Knight Riders have faltered and they have lost each of their last 3 matches. Those defeats included 2 games against the table topping Super Kings which saw KKR beaten by 7 wickets in Chennai and 5 wickets on home turf. In between those macthes the Knight Riders lost at home to Delhi capitals by a 7 wicket margin.

KKR come into this game with a record of 4 wins and 4 defeats.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Whilst the Knight Riders recent results will be a concern to their fans, RCB continue to frustrate. After 6 straight defeats they finally opened their account with an impressive 8 wicket win away at the Kings XI but any thoughts of them putting a run together were dispelled at Mumbai on Monday.

AB de Villers was in the runs again in Mumbai, top scoring with 75 and Moeen Ali’s 50 helped RCB recover from a slow start to post 171/7. Mumbai got off to a flyer in the chase and although RCB threatened in the second half of the Mumbai innings they slipped to a seventh defeat in 8 outings, this time going down by 5 wickets.

Head to Head

Matches 24, RCB wins 9, KKR wins 15

The teams met in Bangalore in Match 17 and it was a high scoring game which KKR came through with a 5 wicket win. RCB batted first and posted 205/3 with Kohli (84) and de Villiers (63) doing the bulk of the damage. KKR made a brisk start to the chase but at 139/4 in 15.4 overs they looked to be heading for defeat. Enter Andre Russell with 48 off 13 balls including 7 maximums and the game turned on its head as KKR got up with 5 balls to spare.

Betting Angle

KKR are out of form right now but whether RCB can take advantage is another story. One man who is carrying the fight for the Royal challengers is AB de Villiers and we fancy he can score 27 runs or more on what has been one of the higher scoring grounds.

Bet: Batsman Match Runs, AB de Villiers, over 26.5 at 8/10
