The Sunrisers were in action away to Mumbai Indians on Thursday and they lost a thrilling game which was decided by a Super Over. Batting first Quinton de Kock top scored for Mumbai with an unbeaten 69 in their bat first total of 162/5. Manish Pandey was the backbone of the Sunrisers chase with 71 not out including a six off the last ball of the innings to tie the scores.
The Sunrisers managed just 8 runs in losing 2 wickets in their Super Over and Mumbai needed just 3 balls to claim the win that sent them through to the play offs with Delhi and Chennai.
The Sunrisers hopes of claiming the remaining place now hang in the balance. They have now won 6 and lost7 of their matches and they are likely to need a victory here to stay in contention. Depending on how other results go over the course of this final weekend of the regular season net run rate could also be a factor.
The Sunrisers away record would have to be a concern as it comprises of 1 win alongside 5 defeats.

RCB had to go for it from the start but they found early trouble, never recovered and were bowled out for 113 (Nabi 4/11).

The greater incentive for victory rests with the Sunrisers but RCB will want to out on a show for their fans so this looks a tricky game to call.
