The Proteas were 2-1 winners at home to England in Jan / Feb this year. They claimed the series with wins of 27 runs and then 5 wickets before England came away with a consolation victory of 59 runs in the final match.
South Africa lost 2-1 in India in October last year, winning the first contest by 9 runs but losing the next two by margins of 7 wickets. Prior to that South Africa were in England in July 2022, they won the series opener by 62 runs, lost the second contest by 118 runs and what would have been the decider was washed out.
West Indies haven't seen much ODI cricket of late. In August 2022 they lost 2-1 at home to New Zealand and a month earlier they lost 3-0 at home to India and 3-0 at home to Bangladesh. In June they went down 3-0 in Pakistan and they have now lost 11 of their last 12 ODI's.

The Betting
At the time of writing South Africa are 0.27/1 to win the match and West Indies are 26/10
South Africa are 11/10 to hit the most sixes with the draw at 6/1 and West Indies are 9/10

The Verdict
West Indies ODI record is atrocious so you can understand why the Proteas are so short to win the match.
Although the visitors target 6's I feel SA have enough fire power of their own to clear the ropes more times than the visitors.
Additional interest comes in the shape of Bavuma to score 50.
