titanst20The first match in the CSA T20 comes from Supersport Park, Centurion on Friday where the Titans host the Warriors.

Titans:

The Titans were crowned champions in the recently concluded Momentum One Day Cup, beating the Dolphins in the final last weekend and they now bid to follow up in the T20 format. The Titans are also the current holders of this title. They won 6 and lost 2 of their completed matches in the round robin stage (2 no results) to top the log and they made home advantage count in beating the Warriors by 8 wickets in the semi final and then the Dolphins by 7 wickets in the final.

Warriors:

Although their form tailed off in the second half of the round robin stage the Warriors made it to the play offs in the One Day Cup where they lost their semi final away to the Dolphins. In the 2017/18 T20 Challenge the Warriors finished fourth on the log with 4 wins, 5 defeats and 1 no result in the round robin stage before they were thumped by the Titans on this ground in the semi finals.

Recent Head to Head

In the round robin stage last season the Titans won by 61 runs in East London and 56 runs (DLS) in Benoni. The semi final meeting at Supersport Park was a one sided affair with the Titans chasing down the Warriors total of 143 in just 15.2 overs.

Verdict:

The Titans were a cut above in the 50 over format and they will take plenty of stopping in the T20 again. We fancy the home side will cover this handicap on their way to making a winning start.

Suggested Bet: Pre Match Handicap, Titans -2.5 Wkts \ -6.5 Runs at 8/11
