windieswt20After sharing the ODI series WIndies and England move into the 20 over format and the first contest takes place in St. Lucia on Tuesday

England have been short price favourites for every match on this tour but they lost the test series 2-1 and the ODI’s finished 2-2 with 1 match washed out. Windies squared that ODI series with a 7 wicket win at this venue on Saturday when they bowled England out for just 113.

England: Eoin Morgan(c), Sam Curran, Jonny Bairstow, Sam Billings, Tom Curran, Joe Denly, Alex Hales, Chris Jordan, Dawid Malan, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, David Willey, Mark Wood

Recent Form:

WIndies were 2-1 winners in Bangladesh in December last year but in November they were on the wrong end of a 3-0 clean sweep in India.

England haven’t been involved in this format since a 30 run win in a one off contest in Sri Lanka in October last year whilst in July 2018 they lost 2-1 at home to India.

Head to Head

Overall the teams have met 15 times in this format with WIndies winning 11 and England 4.

Windies have won 6 of the last 7 head to heads, including a thrilling victory in the World T20 final in Mumbai in March 2016.

Verdict:

England have rested Buttler and Stokes whilst Jason Roy is unavailable so they are missing 3 big guns here. We look to the Player Performance market and it seems our original choice Andre Russell is doubtful so we switch focus to England opener Alex Hales
