windieswt20The second T20 International between Windies and England takes place in St. Kitts on Friday and England are 1-0 up with two to play.

St. Kitts is the final stop on England’s tour as the final match of this series will also take place at Warner Park on Sunday.

The opening game of the series was staged in St. Lucia on Tuesday and England, who are without some of their big hitters, came through with a 4 wicket win.

England won the toss and opted to bowl first and they took the first 3 Windies wickets for just 37 runs. Nicholas Pooran (58) and Darren Bravo (28) repaired the early damage and 10 wides also contributed to the home sides total of 160/8 in their 20 overs. Tom Curran took 4 wickets at a cost of 36 runs in his 4 overs and Chris Jordan impressed with 2/16 in his 3 overs.

The England chase saw Alex Hales fall for 11 runs with the score on 17 and Root (duck) and Morgan (8) quickly followed. However Jonny Bairstow, who opened with Hales, hit 68 off 40 balls. Joe Denly’s 30 edged England toward the target which they eventually reached in 18.5 overs.

The victory margin was 4 wickets and Sheldon Cottrell with 3/29 was the pick of the Windies bowlers. Windies hit 10 maximums to England’s 3 and Bairstow picked up the Man of the Match award.

Windies need to win this to make Sunday’s final T20 a decider, after which England return home.

Verdict:

The match result looks tricky to call so we delve into the exotics for a selection.

In the series opener Bairtsow was the only player who would have passed the current top individual score quote of over 65.5 runs but both sides have a number of candidates who are more than capable of scoring big in double quick time.

Suggested Bet: Highest Individual Score, over 65.5 runs at 17/20 BET HERE
