There are five more English Premier League matches taking place on Wednesday, the outcome of which will have a significant bearing on both ends of the league table.
Let's begin with a look at selected betting markets for this weekend's matches, match result on the left, over and under 2.5 goals to the right.
Liverpool edged their way closer to the title with a 0-0 draw away to Everton on Sunday and results earlier in the week will determine whether they can seal the
title at home to Crystal Palace on Wednesday. However Palace will be no pushovers after their 2-0 weekend win at Bournemouth, a fourth straight victory, each
one accompanied by a clean sheet.
Manchester United are another short price favourite for their home game against Sheffield United. Only 2 points separate the teams in the standings though United's 1-1 draw away to Spurs last week was more eyecatching than the Blades' 3-0 defeat at Newcastle.

Wolves also made a winning return and they remain another contender for Champions League football. After a 2-0 victory at West Ham they face another relegation contender in the shape of Bournemouth who offered very little in their home defeat to Palace. I can see Wolves been among the goals here.
Aston Villa remain in the bottom 3 after a 2-1 home defeat to Chelsea. They head north to Newcastle who's win over Sheffield took their points tally to 38, likely to already be enough for safety. All the pressure is on Villa for whom clean sheets are a rarity. Although Newcastle are hardly free scoring they should take plenty from the weekend win and gut feel is that over 2.5 total match goals could be the way to go here.
The situaion for bottom of the table Norwich is absolutely desperate after a second half collapse saw them go down 3-0 to Southampton last week. They are at home again on Wednesday when Everton provide the opposition and given we are at the stage of the season where even a draw would be inadequate for Norwich, I'll look for goals in this game as well.
Wednesday Night Bets.
Newcastle v Aston Villa, over 2.5 total goals at even money
Norwich v Everton, over 2.5 total goals at 8/10
