Goodforthegame Predictions:

West Ham v Spurs (Saturday 23rd November)

West Ham are on a terrible run right now. It's 6 league games since their last win and 4 of the last 5 have ended in defeat including home games against Newcastle (lost 3-2) and Crystal Palace (lost 2-1). A 3-0 defeat at Burnley last time out saw West Ham slip to fifth from bottom in the standings.

After a poor start to the domestic season Spurs have turned to Jose Mourinho to turn their fortunes around and this will be his first game in charge. Tottenham are just 1 point and 2 places better off than West Ham in the standings and their winless run spans 5 league games, 3 of which have ended all square.

Spurs won this fixture 1-0 last season although West Ham scored the only goal in the return later in the campaign.

Prediction: West Ham 1-2 Spurs

Brighton v Leicester City (Saturday 23rd November)

Brighton lost 3-1 at Manchester United in the previous round of matches and finished the round just below half way in the standings with 15 points. They have done well at home, earning 11 points from 6 matches and the pick of their results is a 3-0 win over Spurs.

Leicester's 2-0 home win over Arsenal saw them finish Round 12 in second place, 8 points behind Liverpool. They have now won 6 of their last 7 although 2 defeats this season did come away from home, at Liverpool (2-1) and Manchester United (1-0).

The corresponding fixture last season finished in a 1-1 draw and Leicester edged the return 2-1.

Prediction: Brighton 1-2 Leicester

Everton v Norwich (Saturday 23rd November)

Everton came away from Southampton with a vital 2-1 win to finish the previous round with 6 points worth of daylight over the drop zone. They now bid for a fourth home win of the campaign with West Ham, Wolves and Watford the other teams to have left Goodison Park empty handed this season.

Norwich lost 2-0 at home to fellow strugglers Watford in Round 12, a defeat which saw them slide to the bottom of the standings. They have just 7 log points, only 1 of which was earned away from home, a 0-0 draw at Bournemouth. Norwich have taken just 1 point from their last 7 league outings and the shock victory over Manchester City (3-2) in mid September seems a long time ago right now.

This will be the first league meeting since 2015/16 when Everton were 3-0 winners on Merseyside although Norwich did win a league cup tie at this ground the following season.

Prediction: Everton 3-0 Norwich

Crystal Palace v Liverpool (Saturday 23rd November)

Palace lost 2-0 at Chelsea just prior to the international break and they have now taken just 1 point from their last 4 matches. They were tough games which included home defeats (both 2-0) to fourth placed Manchester City and second placed Leicester although they did take a point from a 2-2 draw at Arsenal. Palace are now just below half way in the standings as they prepare to take on the league leaders.

Liverpool came through their crunch home fixture against Manchester City with a 3-1 win to open up an 8 point lead in the title race. Their unbeaten league record now comprises of 11 wins and 1 draw. The draw came away to Manchester United (1-1) just over a month ago and they staged a late comeback in their only subsequent road trip to win 2-1 at Aston Villa.

Liverpool won this fixture 2-0 last season and the return at Anfield was a thriller with Liverpool edging it 4-3.

Prediction: Palace 1-2 Liverpool

Man City v Chelsea (Saturday 23rd November)

City's 3-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield means they are now 9 point's behind the league leaders and they also have the likes of Chelsea and Leicester just ahead of them in the standings. They return to the Etihad Stadium where they have won 4, drawn 1 and lost 1 of their 6 league outings with Wolves the team to have provided the upset.

Chelsea made it 6 league wins in a row with a 2-0 home victory over Palace last time out. They now hit the road again and when Chelsea travel it usually means goals. Earlier away days delivered a 4-0 defeat at Manchester United followed by wins at Norwich (3-2), Wolves (5-2), Southampton (4-1), Burnley (4-2) and Watford (2-1).

Chelsea crashed and burned 6-0 at this ground last season although they did beat City 2-0 in the first meeting at Stamford Bridge.

Prediction: Man City 2-1 Chelsea

Sheffield United v Man United (Sunday 24th November)

Sheffield are unbeaten in their last 5 outings, a run which comprises of 2 wins and 3 draws and they went into the international break in a lofty fifth position in the standings. Most recently they put in an excellent shift to draw 1-1 at Spurs and they have been a handful for top sides in home fixtures. Arsenal were beaten 1-0 here recently and Liverpool had to work hard for a 1-0 victory.

United's 3-1 home win over Brighton saw them finish Round 12 in seventh place, 1 point adrift of their opponents here. Their only recent league success came away to struggling Norwich (3-1) but they lost a subsequent road trip 1-0 at Bournemouth.

This will be the first league meeting between the teams wince 2006/07.

Prediction: Sheffield United 0-1 Man United
