arsenal1819The pick of Sunday's English Premier League coupon is Arsenal's clash with Manchester City and we also take a look at Brighton v Liverpool, West Ham v Newcastle and Wolves v Aston Villa

Brighton 1.95/1 Draw 2.92/1 Liverpool 12/10

Brighton came unstuck away to Villa last weekend. They crashed and burned 6-1 conceding 3 times inside 26 minutes and they come into the weekend in sixth spot with a record of 5 wins and 2 defeats but remain just 3 points behind league leaders Manchester City.

Liverpool also suffered defeat last week and the manner of their 2-1 loss at Spurs will hurt after a “significant human VAR error” saw them have a “goal” wrongly chalked off. Liverpool had Jones and Jota red carded and a last gasp own goal completed a miserable afternoon but they are only 2 points off the pace in fourth spot. Liverpool's only other dropped points in the league this season came in a 1-1 draw at Chelsea on the opening weekend and they have since won at Newcastle (2-1) and Wolves (3-1).

The Verdict:

All 7 of Brighton's league matches have seen backers of the combo over 3.5 goals/with both sides finding the net (yes) collect, some sequence that is!!

Still, Liverpool will be smarting from last week's events and I'm keeping this simple and looking for an away win. Jota is suspended and Gakpo is an injury doubt Salah's price to score look good enough to me.

Bets: Liverpool to win at 12/10 with Playabets

West Ham 9/4 Draw 27/10 Newcastle 23/20

West Ham obliged for favourite backers with a 2-0 home win over Sheffield United last weekend and they come into the round in a healthy seventh position with 13 points from 7 matches. Prior to that they suffered back to back defeats in the league but the opposition was from the top draw as they went down at home to Man City and away at Liverpool (both 3-1).

Newcastle's 4-1 home win over PSG in the UCL on Wednesday will see them arrive here with confidence at an all time high. They have also won their last 3 in the EPL and their record now comprises of 4 wins and 3 defeats.

The Verdict:

Looking at Newcastle's recent results you would think West Ham will be up against here. I actually give the home side a punchers chance of taking something from the game but I will stick to the goal scorer markets and look for Ward-Prowse to register any time

Bets: Anytime goalscorer Ward-Prowse at 3.46/1 with Playabets

Wolves 24/10 Draw 5/2 Aston Villa 1.12/1

Wolves turned Manchester City over in a home fixture last week, the 2-1 win was their second 3 point haul of the season alongside a 1-0 victory at Everton and their only other point came in a 1-1 draw at Luton.

Having demolished Brighton 6-1 Villa moved up to fifth with a record of 5 wins and 2 defeats. They were 1-0 winners at Chelsea in their most recent road trip and that bucked the trend of high scoring games as 4 of the previous 5 Villa league games saw at least 4 goals scored in total.

The Verdict:

There was plenty to like about Wolves last week and they have won 3 and drawn 1 of the last 4 EPL derby clashes with Villa and this looks a tricky call tom me.

Look out for Matheus Cunha, he's my bet to pop up with a goal for the home side.

Bets: Anytime goalscorer Matheus Cunha at 2.93/1 with Playabets

Arsenal 1.96/1 Draw 2.44/1 Man City 14/10

Arsenal cruised to a 4-0 win at Bournemouth last weekend, extending their unbeaten run in the league and with 5 wins and 2 draws they sit in third spot, level with Spurs who play on Saturday and just 1 point behind Manchester City.

It was something of a surprise to see the Gunners go down 2-1 at Lens in the UCL in midweek and Saka came off after picking up a knock so watch out for the team news. In earlier home games Arsenal led the derby at home to Spurs twice but had to settle for a 2-2 draw. They were also held 2-2 by Fulham at The Emirates but did beat Man United (3-1) and Forest (2-1).

City bounced back from the surprise defeat at Wolves with a 3-1 win at Leipzig in the UCL on Wednesday. They have won 3 EPL road trips at Burnley (3-0), Sheff United (2-1) and West Ham (3-1) whilst their only league game so far against one of last season's top sides saw them beat Newcastle 1-0 in a home fixture.

The Verdict:

As far as league games are concerned City are on a 12 match winning streak against Arsenal and the home side will be hoping key man Saka is fit to start. Either way I'm open minded abut the result as Rodri, who is an integral part of City's team in these big matches, is suspended.

I'll go with 2 goalscorers, Jesus for Arsenal against his old club and Alvarez who is in sublime form for City.

Bets: Anytime goalscorer Gabriel Jesus at 2.94/1 with Playabets

Anytime goalscorer Julian Alvarez at 2.62/1 with Playabets

100% match on your first deposit up to R2000 for new customers
