Just the one English Premier League match takes place on Sunday and it's a tricky looking match to call as Nottingham Forest host Brentford
Notts Forest
Having played and lost to Arsenal and both Manchester clubs in their first 6 league games Forest will otherwise be content enough with a return of 7 points. Their 2 wins came at home to Sheffield United (2-1) and away at Chelsea (1-0) and they also picked up a point from a 1-1 draw with Burnley in their most recent home game.
Brentford
Brentford have 6 points against their name. They started with a 2-2 draw at home to Spurs, then won 3-0 at Fulham before further draws at home to Palace and Bournemouth. More recently they lost 1-0 at Newcastle and last weekend they will have been most disappointed to lose 3-1 at home to an Everton side who had been struggling early season.
Recent Head to Head
The corresponding fixture last season finished all square at 2-2 whilst the return in London was won 2-1 by Brentford.
The Betting
At the time of writing Forest are trading at 1.75/1 to win the game with the draw priced at 9/4 and Brentford can be backed at 16/10
A game of 3 goals or more is priced at even money and it's 8/10 for both teams to score
The Verdict:
Both sides have kept just the 1 clean sheet this season and looking at the fixtures they have played Forest have had a much tougher schedule. Whether that is a pointer towards a home win is debatable and to me any of the 3 possible outcomes in the match result market would comes as no particular surprise.
I fancy Forest can nick a goal somewhere along the line and I'm with Gibbs-White to pop up any time. The Forest midfielder hasn't found the net in the league this season but came up with a couple of assists in a 3-2 defeat at Man United and I understand (according to FPL) he is the designated penalty taker and direct free kick specialist.
Bets: Anytime goalscorer Gibbs-White at 4/1 with Sportingbet (please click on the banners to open an account)
