After a treacherous year, the PGA Tour returns with a sense of normality at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas. Being played on schedule in October, the event is one of the best paid on the circuit outside of the majors and with over $6.5 million in the prize purse, there is plenty at stake in the Vegas sunshine. Previous winners of the event include Tiger Woods, Jim Furyk, Bryson DeChambeau and Greg Norman – testament to the prestige and regard the event is held in on the PGA tour. A strong field is assembled once more in Las Vegas as the major players in the game look towards the rescheduled Masters at Augusta next month.

Betting Preview

Outright Winner

There are plenty of big names sure to be in the mixer this week at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas:

Bryson DeChambeau – 8.00

Fresh off the back of his maiden major title win at the US Open last month, Bryson DeChambeau is brimming with confidence and he is a previous winner of the event.

Webb Simpson – 12.00

Despite no tournament wins of late, Webb Simpson is the model of consistency in most events he plays in and the conditions in Las Vegas could play into his hands.

Patrick Cantlay – 18.00

Winner of the event back in 2017, Patrick Cantlay is searching for his best form in 2020 but he has the game to mix it with the big boys here and always enjoys playing in the sun.

Collin Morikawa – 18.00

USPGA Champion Collin Morikawa has enjoyed his breakthrough year and another big event win here would see him head to Augusta in sublime form.

Sergio Garcia – 55.00

Former Masters champion Sergio was in top form last week as he won the Sanderson Farms Championship and he should never be discarded at such a high price.

1st Round Leader

Producing the goods over 72 holes is often the most difficult thing for any golfer to do therefore here are our first-round leader picks:-

Harris English – 40.00

American Harris English has been in the mix at plenty of events this year and his habit of getting off to a quick start could continue in Las Vegas this week.

Kevin Na  – 60.00

Defending champion and two-time winner of the Shriners Hospital for Children Open Kevin Na, hasn’t been in the best form in 2020 but he could relish a return to one of his favourite courses.

Luke List – 80.00

American Luke List has made a lot of cuts recently without making them pay and this could be the weekend he puts some real markers down from the off.

Top Ten Finish

With so many quality players assembled here in Las Vegas, getting into the winning enclosure could be tough but there are plenty of candidates to finish in the top 10 come Sunday:-

Matthew Wolff – 2.75

Young Canadian Matthew Wolff is really starting to come of age on the PGA Tour and his 2nd place finish as the US Open last time out could prove to be a big step in the right direction.

Jason Day – 3.60

Australian former world number one Jason Day is capable of beating anyone on his day and his recent showings have suggested he is finding form once more.

Abraham Ancer – 5.50

Enigmatic Mexican Abraham Ancer has been an emerging force on the PGA Tour in recent seasons and he looks overpriced to finish in the top 10 in Las Vegas this weekend.

BetXChange Best Bets:
