The Durban Super Giants got a much needed victory on Thursday and in so doing kept their faint hopes alive. They won the toss and decided to bowl first against MI Cape Town restricting the visitors to 165 for 5 with Dwaine Pretorius picking up 2 for 38 in 4 overs. The Super Giants then chased the score down with just 1 ball to spare and 5 wickets in hand thanks largely to Quinton de Kock’s 63 off 41 balls and a well-played 48 not out off 39 from Matthew Breetzke.
SUNRISERS EASTERN CAPE
The Sunrisers Eastern Cape last match was at home against the Paarl Royals where they won the toss and decided to bat scoring 137 with JJ Smuts getting 65 off 49. The Royals then knocked off the runs with just over an over to spare and 5 wickets in hand. Roelof van der Merwe was once again the pick of the bowlers with 2 for 11.
