JOBURG SUPER KINGS

The Joburg Super Kings made a slow start to the Tournament, but they finished strongly and were comfortable second place finishers in the end.

Their last match was at home to MI Cape Town where they lost the toss and were sent into bat. Things started terribly with both openers, du Plessis and Hendricks getting ducks, but Leus du Plooy led the charge with 81 off 48 balls ably supported by Wade who scored 40 off 18 and they managed to drag the Super Kings to 189 for 6 off their 20 overs. They then bowled MI Cape Town out for 113 with Simmonds and Coetzee both bagging 3 wickets each.

SUNRISERS EASTERN CAPE

The Sunrisers Eastern Cape were last in action against the Joburg Super Kings at the Wanderers on Sunday. They lost the toss and the Super Kings batted first, scoring a 160 for 6 thanks to 92 off 61 from Faf du Plessis. Magala was the pick of the Eastern Cape bowlers with 2 for 24 off his 4 overs and Aiden Markram also weighed in with 2 wickets off 1 over for 7 runs.

Temba Bavuma scored 50 off 34 balls for the Sunrisers, but it wasn’t enough to get them home and they were restricted to 136 for 9 and a 24 run loss. Kyle Simmonds was the destroyer-in-chief for the Super Kings getting 3 for 23 off his 4 overs.

Joburg Super Kings 15/20

Sunrisers Eastern Cape 11/10

I am not going to have a bet on who will win the match, but rather look to some of the Exotic Markets for my picks.

Suggested Bet: Sunrisers Eastern Cape Over 1 Total, Over 6.5 runs at 1/1

Rossington will no doubt take the first ball and he goes hard from the start and Bavuma has also shown a new attitude when it comes to T20 cricket. I had a lot of success with this bet earlier in the competition and although I have had a few losses since I am looking to finish things off on a high.

Suggested Bet: Player of the Match, Tristan Stubbs at 14/1

Stubbs was the big money signing for the Sunrisers Eastern Cape and although he has done okay in patches he hasn’t truly delivered. I have got no doubt of his talent though and I am backing him to come to the party with a match winning performance here.
