wolves1819Our weekend treble for Round 12 of English Premier League football includes tips for Southampton v Everton, Leicester City v Arsenal and Wolves v Aston Villa with the odds boosted by @Olimp_SA

Leg 1 Southampton v Everton (Saturday 9th November)

We head to St. Mary's for the first leg of the treble, it's a clash both sides badly need to win and we are looking for a game of 3 goals or more, regardless of which side comes out on top.

Southampton threatened to surprise Manchester City at The Etihad Stadium last weekend. They took an early lead but were overhauled in the final 20 minutes with City coming through with a 2-1 win. Southampton's most recent home game ended in a 9-0 hiding at the hands of Leicester and their form at St. Mary's this season is woeful with Liverpool (2-1), Bournemouth (3-1) and Chelsea (4-1) also having taken maximum points from their visits. Note backers of over 2.5 goals have collected in all of those games although the one result which bucked that trend came from a 1-1 draw with Manchester United.

Everton found a late equalizer to salvage a 1-1 draw at home to Spurs last week, a result which kept them in fourth bottom position, 3 points better off than Southampton. Everton's only points return from 5 away fixtures came from a 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace on the opening weekend of the season. Since then they have lost at Villa (2-0), Bournemouth (3-1), Burnley (1-0) and most recently at Brighton (3-2).

In last season's head to heads Everton won 2-1 at Goodison Park but lost by the same scoreline at St. Mary's.

Prediction: Over 2.5 total match goals

Leg 2 Leicester v Arsenal (Saturday 9th November)

The second leg of our treble sees in form Leicester get the vote to come out on top in their home fixture against Arsenal.

Leicester are in a lofty third place in the standings and they return home after back to back wins on the road at Southampton (9-0) and Crystal Palace (2-0). Their home record is of the unbeaten variety, comprising of a 0-0 draw with Wolves followed by wins over Bournemouth (3-1), Spurs (2-1), Newcastle (5-0) and Burnley (2-1). Jamie Vardy is having a terrific season and he currently tops the goal scoring charts with 10.

Arsenal drew 1-1 at home to Wolves last week and having won just 1 of their last 5 league games they are now 6 points behind Leicester in the standings. The Gunners won their first road trip of the season 1-0 at Newcastle but that is their only clean sheet on the road. Subsequent results on their travels delivered draws at Manchester United (1-1) and Watford (2-2) and defeats at Liverpool (3-1) and more recently Sheffield United (1-0).

Leicester won this fixture 3-0 towards the end of last season although Arsenal had won the first meeting 3-1 at The Emirates.

Prediction: Leicester to win

Leg 3 Wolves v Aston Villa (Sunday 10th November)

The final leg of our treble comes from Sunday's local derby between Wolves and Villa and we are looking for both sides to contribute to the scoring.

Wolves have developed a habit of finishing all sqaure with 7 of 11 Premier League outings having ended in a draw including each of the last 3. Those 3 most recent matches were all locked up at 1-1 including last week's visit to Arsenal and a recent home game against Southampton. Wolves have found the net in every home fixture this season but a 2-0 win over Watford is their only win and clean sheet in front of their own supporters.

Aston Villa are 2 points behind Wolves in the standings and 3 clear of the relegation zone but they made league leaders Liverpool sweat at Villa Park last week before 2 very late goals saw them go down 2-1. They were beaten 3-0 at Manchester City in their most recent road trip, a fourth loss in 5 away fixtures. Other defeats came at Spurs (3-1), Palace (1-0) and Arsenal (3-2) whilst their only away win was a resounding 5-1 demolition of Norwich.

The teams met in the EFL Cup last month and Villa won a home fixture 2-1. How much you should read into that given Wolves made wholesale changes to the line up is open to debate but with plenty at stake in a first Premier League derby between the teams since 2011/12 the gut feel is goals for both teams.

Prediction: Both teams to score? (yes)
