Brent Graham wrote: Vann what do you think of that 6/1 winning margin more than a second? If a break stays clear I could see a late attack with everybody looking at each other
There is talk of the route being altered because of the weather. This can only mean shorter and less riskier which is not good for the bet.
I have taken 0.5 unit on it and hoping they carry the bet live again which means we get the latest info from the commentators re the route.

After the bad weather and the flu/covid running through the peloton we now hit the longest stage of the Giro. I would be surprised if more then two riders look for the break. Has to be a bunch sprint finish which is bad news as the finish looks decidedly sketchy. Another gift from the idiots at UCI.
A few beers

One day behind you. See Cattaneo is out today with two team mates. Van Wilder probably not long for the Giro either.

Stage 12
Would normally be a depleted peloton sprint but I don't think there are enough riders left to chase down a medium sized break. I'm going with a dart day

Stage 13
Snow means the tunnel and not the top of the first climb. At the moment the teams have asked for the second climb to be removed because of the dangerous descent. A day for match bets in the GC but with all the uncertainty I'm skipping them.

Stage 14
Once again we cannot be sure the whole stage runs today. Photo's from last night of the climb look scary. Stage 15 looks much more like a break stage then today so I am going fewer break volunteers and they get caught.

Team Comp
INEOS @ 13/2
Stage 15
Could be close for the break as FDJ will want Pinot to collect mountain points today and he is too close to the lead to let run free. A few from the break but will probably cover with Roglic in-play if they do not get enough time.

Kamna/Rubio 9/10
Pinot/A Peret-Peinmtre
On reflection I should have just done it without the 1/9 shot - we all know which one will drop me now LOL

Rubio will try to get in break, even if allowed I think there will be late action and all but the stage winner will come back

Todays stage should be a cracker and Vann I have not given up hope of Ineos winning the team comp although still 24 min behind
Yesterday they put nearly 10 minutes in and my hope today is that Jumbo dictate the stage and the 3 Ineos riders can save energy. I am also hoping Bahrain get into the break which is caught and implodes - just need 1 of their 3 climbers to have a reall bad day to get within striking distance in the ITT
I am looking at Kamna in a match bet today but one where is a 5/2 dog
He is up against Caruso and I think the 5/2 is big
Caruso finished 6 seconds ahead of him yesterday but Kamna was closing and todays stage is tougher, Caruso is an aggressive rider and I can see him attacking meaning he could blow up whereas Kamna is unlikely to expose himself too early
3 units Kamna at 5/2

Stage 19
Also hold that 5/2 Kamna ticket - just think the odds are too good to swerve.
I think the KOM comp will kill any break chances today. GC will not allow Pinot to ride away and FDJ ditto with Healy. This means GC where I would fancy Roglic.
Taking some Roglic @ 9/4

Quite enjoyed this years Giro. Disappointed by all the w/d's as it would have been nice having Remco in the mix to the end and I think the EF team bet would have been a runner.
