Bunnings NPC, Toyota Champs, Top 14 week 28 August to 3 Sep was created by Brent Graham

No rugby international warm ups left so the general rugby thread will focus on NPC, Top 14, Toyota Challenge and any other rugby you can find

The focus on the RWC starts now and any comments on the opening matches can be made in the Early Match Betting Thread

For any RWC Outright plays keep an eye on the RWC Outrights & Long Term thread

There is midweek and weekend Bunnings - these are the caps that I can find

Auckland -24.5 v Manawatu (Wed)
Northland +6.5 v Hawkes Bay
Bay of Plenty -8.5 v Otago
Canterbury -9.5 v Taranaki
North Harbour +3.5 v Waikato

At least the high heels primadonnas from the big city lost, and it's not the first time they did it.

Pale consolation, but sometimes is good enough.

And when you think of it, Manawatu had numerous changes to their team and included players who didn't see many minutes so far.

So, Fridays game between Northland (I see +5.5) and Hawkes Bay. Points line is 53.5. Any thoughts?

In Pro D2 tonight I go with Dax HT at nice odds @2.62 but just for 1u because its impossible to bet 2u (only 200e limit in b365 ...). They should start strong and try to take something tonight, Grenoble with some absences in the starting XV but with a pretty strong bench.

Any thoughts you have on Clermont La Rochelle tonight? was looking at overs 45.5 or Clermont over 23.5, weather looks good, Clermont look strong with their squad depth?

Small combo pau+stade francais @1.75 1u

Nothing else, for me SR are pretty strong but Clermont at home is Clermont at home so no bet there.

Owe you one Pablo! Took a late frustrated bet on Clermont win @ 8/11 with Boyles after missing out on Brighton shots by 1. What I was doing backing an 8/11 shot in a competition I don’t punt often with RWC around corner I’ll never know.

Need to keep powder dry now for the big one next weekend and not get tempted into any other rugby punts before then. He says!
