After a poor start with tries unders missing in the opening Super Rugby games (sadly Chiefs game was the newsletter Best Bet) I came back with nice wins on the Blues and Leinster minus and then survived the tension in Glasgow to land the 12/1 newsletter acca. When the final whistle blew it was more relief than joy on my side that I would have some good news to reflect on in the next newsletter

By the way there will likely be a golf newsletter this week as well so if not on yet here is the link bit.ly/gftgnewsletter

I have managed to avoid the betting on the semifinals of Super Rugby and the URC but did catch a glimpse that they are up

Here are my handicaps compared to the bookies (WSB in brackets)

Blues -9.5 (10.5) v Brumbies
Hurricanes -4.5 (-1.5) v Chiefs

Bulls +5.5 (+4.5) v Leinster
Munster -8.5 (-8.5) v Glasgow

Not surprisingly all very close given its a semifinal and I expect the Canes line to move closer to mine perhaps stopping at -3.5

I am not sure what other rugby is on but feel free to post info and bets here

Hurricanes -1.5 looks a no brainer but no Numia and Lomax keep me away for the moment. Chiefs props aren't the best in NZ so Hurricanes should deal with those absences.

Hurricanes @1.70 2u available in orbit exchange. 20 tics better than b365.

Even with those prop absences Hurricanes should be more favourite, they defeated Chiefs twice this season.

Happy to take Leinster -3.5 away at the Bulls.

The Bulls are without some key players in Moodie, Arendse and potentially van Staden too. I expect Leinster to pick their strongest side and should take advantage of a leaky Bulls defence which has conceded 3 or more tries in each of their last 5 home games.

I'll stay away of this match because there's a lot of fear in the access matches, big money at stake due to huge huge financial differences between Pro D2 and Top14 BUT I think Montpellier will win big (15-20 points is the differences for me between those squads with Grenoble home advantage) even with they shitty season they had. Watch Pro D2 final and you will see why the difference are so big between those squads. Also Grenoble players took heavy knocks against Vannes and may not play (Lainault, Muarua, Cros ...) and they are short of players in the 3rd row.
Also LNR doesn't want Montpellier to go down instead of Grenoble ...

If I had to bet I'd go closed eyes with Montpellier -8.5 but I prefer to stay away.

I just can't see the Brumbies making any dent in what sees a very strong nd weakless Blues set yp . Depending on conditions I feel my only bet if unders , Brumbies to battle for any points defend like buger , anything under 47.5 I; all in.

Managed to break square at the end of it all , went under s at HT at 65.5 , thankfully the points dried up .

I have a little sneak for the Chiefs tomorrow and am plying them outright and plus 4.5 .

Sorry Roger , yeah I know those runs alright , just got home and with Brent on Leinster minus 5.5 at 4/5 and also under points at 56.5 , same price . Much will depend on this game as to whether I fly into tonight's unders between Munster and Glasgow

That unders is a lock! 16 mins of utter shite and kicking the leather off the ball.

Take that as a win Coil, nice one!

Sigh , lost in the game , pressed Leinster at the break at 11/10 , thought it was golden . Incredible game by the Bulls , but Leinster's backline was atrocious today ,their time is up.

Oh bummer, managed to cash out my over 51.5 and lumped on +6.5 on Leinster, thank god goosen was buggered.

Cracking game, proper test match style.

Piardi is reffing the Munster game, haven’t been more confident of an unders play in my life.

He also loves a card, would expect at least 3, maybe a red.

Also back 2nd half highest scoring half at evens. Hoping for a tense first half battle with the players fresh, and loosening up a bit in the second.

I have a bad feeling with Montpellier. They look completely out of shape and outplayed.
