Seeing as the US Open qualifiers start today, I was just wondering if anyone had any interest in this tournament?

Outright are as one would expect with Djokivic as favourite, having won the latest ATP tournament.

Djokivic @ 3.4
Nadal @ 4.25
Federer @ 5.00
Zverev @ 10.00

So not a big interest I take it haha.

Anyway, for those that might be looking for something, Sunbet has our own Lloyd Harris on a 'profit boost' to win @2.00 against Simon Gilles. Think this is great value and I will be taking this. He looked good in qualifier and a quick stats search sees Gilles in some bad form. Feel pretty comfortable on this one, although I've been wrong before.

Gaio vs Goffin

Gaio is a qualifier ranked 242. He plays mainly on clay courts.
Goffin ranked no.10, has had a quarterfinal appearance in Washington and a semifinal loss to Federer in Cincinnati, via retirement.
Goffin should be able to show the huge difference in class and finish this match quickly.

Bet: Under 30.5 games @1.85 Pinnacle

Djokovic vs Fucsovics

Djokovic is on fire. He won Wimbledon and now he's coming after his win in Cincinnati where he defeated Federer in the final in straight sets.
He is a big favourite to win US Open.

He plays against Fucsovics, who won his first ATP title on clay in Geneva a few months ago.
This is a huge step up for Fucsovics, who is unlikely to pose much of a threat to Djokovic.

Nishioka vs Federer

Federer has had an impressive year so far, with titles at Australian Open, Rotterdam and Stuttgart, with a 33-5 win-loss record.
Nishioka is 4-9 at ATP level this year.
Federer should not spend too much time on court.

Bet 1: Fed -8.5 @1.73
Bet 2: Under 28.5 games @1.83

Awesome stuff, thanks Quill! Agreed, Djokovic looks very dangerous. Hard to see even some of the big guns beating him.

Maria Sharapova vs Carla Suarez Navarro (4 Sep)

Sharapova -1.5 Set Handicap @2.15
Total games under 21.5 @1.82

Will probably be adding this match as a multiple too somewhere. Sharapova has won 23-0 matches under the lights in New York. Can't see this record being scratched in this match.

Wow, I like tennis but it clearly doesn't like me. Sharapova loss, putting halt to that record I was so sure was going to stand and then a Federer upset for good messure. If anybody wants to know what not to pick, just ask me.

What do you think of the Suarez Navarro v Keys match Quill? I see sunbet has Navarro @3.05 and Madison @1.38 favourite.

Watched the Sharapova match and while Sharapova did make mistakes, double faults especially, Navarro really impressed. Super good defense. But I'm not too familiar with Madison Keys.

Unlucky - Stephens was horrendous!

Betting on tennis really grinds me because being a non-team sport if the player is having an off day or just not up the match.. they throw a match they should win 9/10 times.

Where as in team sports (e.g. rugby, soccer) the players around him can pick up the pieces and lift the team or easily be substituted if you having an off day.

Keys is leading the H2H 3-0, although all wins were in 3 sets.
She lost the final last year here at US Open.

Navarro played really well in dispatching Sharapova.
I'll take two bets in this match.

Bet 1: Navarro +4.5 @1.91
Bet 2: Over 20.5 games @1.91

WSB has a promo where you pick the four semi matches as a multiple and if you lose by one leg you get the stake back, so even though I'm almost done punting tennis as this has been a dumpster fire tourney for me, had a last go with a bit of an upset in one because why not:

Williams + Keys + Djokovic + Del Potro

Can't remember exact odds but it was around 5.2 I think.

Nadal vs Del Potro

Nadal has had some long matches in the last few rounds. He lost a set to Khachanov, then he lost one to Basilashvili, and in the previous round he survived Thiem in an epic encounter.

Del Potro on the other hand comes into this match quite fresh, as he dispatched all his opponents in 3 sets, except the last one, Isner, to whom he lost a set.

Nadal is dominant in their H2H, 12-5, having won the last three, including a 3-1 last year here.
At Wimbledon two months ago Nadal won 3-2.

I think this will be another long match.

Bet: over 40.5 games @1.87 Pinnacle

So it turns out because technically the Del Potro match was a 'scratch' this promo is gonzo. Because of it my ticket doesn't qualify for the promo. Another kick in the nuts. Still don't understand it fully as Del Potro is still the winner, which I picked.

Del Potro vs Djokovic

Del Potro is playing some of his best tennis at the moment, being 43-10 for the season.
In his 6 matches so far at US Open he lost only one set.

Djokovic is himself in great form, and after winning Wimbledon, he won in Cincinnati as well.
He lost only 2 sets in New York, but has been dominant in his last 4 matches.

Del Potro has got the most wins against players ranked no. 1 in the world.
He will have the crowd support.
He has been the best and most consistent player in the hot conditions throughout this tournament.
He won this tournament before and he's in a great spot to win it again.

Bet: Del Potro +4 @1.92 Pinnacle
