Kuwait vs Australia
This is Graham Arnold's first match as the Socceroos manager.
He wants to change Australia's style of play and make it an attacking style. At the last World Cup the Socceroos relied on set pieces to create danger situations and to score. Also, about half of Australia's last 90 goals or so were scored by two retired players, Cahill and Jedinak.
Arnie's got a pool of young and talented players with him, around a core of experienced players.
He wants attacking football and scoring opportunities in the penalty area.
Kuwait appears to be a good opponent to try and apply this new approach.

For the early game on Saturday I like the old Jose tactics to come out and park the bus, Draw @ 3/1 sounds perfect.
Then Spurs to beat West Ham at 9/10.

West Ham hate Spurs so they will be 100% up for this at home. The games between the two sides are usually close and, with West Ham improving their personnel and Spurs looking a bit depleted at the moment, I like West Ham win/draw @ 21/20.
Interestingly, the two play again in the league cup on Wednesday, with the same sort of prices available. I think there is a good chance Spurs will field a slightly weakened team for that and won't particularly fancy the hostile weather/atmosphere. West Ham win/draw @ evens looks more likely to me at a very similar price.

These two teams meet in the cup final too, so it's not an easy game for the visitors.
Sydney has got some new names in their squad, including in the goals department (Le Fondre), and already showed that they are going to be a title contender this year as well, when they dispatched Western Sydney Wanderers in the cup semi-final 3-0 recently.
Adelaide have a strong team too, after all they are in the cup final.
Sydney have a new coach and although they want to win here tonight, the match could be tighter than they think.

Melbourne Victory vs Melbourne City
One of the great A-League derbies, both teams come into this match almost fully fit and certainly eager to start their season.
Both teams made changes during the off-season, however Victory made the biggest impact by bringing Honda.
Also Toivonen is a good addition, he did score for Sweden at the World Cup against Germany.
City have good defensive pillars in Schenkeveld and Ritchie De Laet (several years in EPL, including champion with Leicester), as well as one of the best strikers in the league, Fornaroli.
He missed a big part of the season last year, but now he is fully fit and itching to score his 5th goal against Victory. I think he scored the most goals against Victory, of all the strikers in the league.
It's a big derby and we're at the beginning. I won't go for a winner here. The quality on the pitch and the scoring capabilities make me go for goals.

Perth Glory vs WS Wanderers
Perth Glory now have a different coach, a very good one, Tony Popovici.
Their first opponent is none other than the Wanderers, a very familiar one to the coach.
The Wanderers lost 0-3 their cup semifinal to Sydney FC.
Perth Glory have strengthened their defence and made good signings in the off-season.
They want to finish top 4 and fight for the title.
Bet 1: Glory (-0.25) @2.03 Pinnacle
Bet 2: Team Total Glory over 1.5 goals @2.00 bet365

Goodison Park is Palace's favorite away ground in the EPL which makes the 17/20 Everton a little skinny for me. Palace ranked 3rd in yellow cards last season and we have Anthony Taylor on duty today at around 4 cards per match. This fixture also ranks right up there in the EPL penalty stakes and the Everton penalty taker has racked up three goals in his last two outings.
2nd Half Yellow Cards
Palace over 1.5 @ 12/10
Any Time Goal Scorer
Sigurdsson @ 9/4
