Race 1 - Olympic Legend @ 10/1 & Count Marsh @ 16/1
Stable known to bring first timers to the track ready and well bred. Gets stable jock up and Dame showed some good pace in career. Also personally don't think fav's first run was that impressive, but always got to respect Kotzen/Marcus combination.
Count Marsh - Like the breeding and Dame was speedy sort first up.
Race 2 - Green Phantom @ 25/1 & Kings Crusade @ 40/1
First run was course and distance and surprised by running ahead of stable companion who was fav. Last 2 at Greyville and might prefer at early age straight. Really well bred with Dame winning 6 from 7 over sprints and beating some top sorts. Gimmethegreenlight's also producing some more than decent sprinters. Worth a go at these odds even if coming up againest some really well bred first timers.
Race 3 - Secret is Ours @ 5/1 & Kings Spear @ 20/1
Rascillion looks hard to beat, but I like some of Secret is Ours, brother to the great Bela Bela, and worth ago at around 5/1
Race 4 - Maxine Du Monde @ 22/1
Never showed much first time up, hoping for a decent run first time in stepping up and around the bend
Race 5 - MIND FIELD
Race 6 - Slalom Queen @ 3/1
Race 7 - Sir Pom @ 25/1
Fav looks hard to beat, but on times, Sir Pom looks more than decent, yes beaten by 2nd fav first time, but then ran a much improved race 2nd time out, in around the same time. Hopefully with some improvement can surprise as other prep for bigger races.
Race 8 - Golden Chance @ 6/1
Some really good performances in Cape, and on weight turn around should hold Pretty Young Thing and Temple Graffin. Also think both of those favourite distances are further. So worth ago at those odds.
Race 9 - Solid Gold @ 30/1 & PleasedtoMeetYou @ 15/1
Both old fav's of mine.
Solid Gold got a very light mass and could surprise. Decent record over course and distance.
Pleasedtomeetyou I thought last run in Cape behind Kasimir was excellent, and runs 3 & 4 back also more than decent. At the weights has more to find but think could surprise in open race.
Hope you enjoy the racing.

I remember the good old days when Drier stable would dominate on these KZN winter season days, at the moment dont think he has won a race since racing opened.

Yeah mate another 2nd and same Tree Tumbo, have had so many since racing restarted. Managed to take the pair in 12/1 place double so overall a nice return on the day.
Looking forward to this weeks racing action.
