I thought Eliud 25/1 ew looked a bit big in the Guineas at Turfontein. In form jock, and still looks like a big baby, should have plenty improvement to come and will enjoy every yard of the extra trip.

Thanks South, I was just typing the same thing and last run behind Catch Twenty Two wasn't the worse over 1400m.

My selections for Turffontein below:

Race 2 - Cosmic Ray @ 25/1
This is the time stable normally comes into form and doesn't look the strongest field. Reasonable last run course and distance.

Race 7 - Eluid @ 25/1 & Namib Desert @ 50/1
As South says, I really like Eluid.
The other I like is Namib Desert, on breeding I think will be looking for further personally, and may be the choice to go for the Triple Crown, same as Eluid.

Race 8 - Oravar @ 10/1
On last run seems to hold quite a few and seems to be a 1000m specialist. Looking at top of boards, Bold Ransom would be my other choice based on also having won previously over distance.

Race 10 - Lady of Steel @ 8/1 & Angels Power @ 40/1
Lady of Steel has been disappointing after top run in KZN behind Summer Pudding. I believe this is her ideal sort of distance and with such a low weight worth ago for me at this price.
My second choice is Angels Power, super low mass and seems to pop up every so often when not favoured.

Cape card looks really tough today but I am going with the below:

Race 1 - Benjamin @ 10/1
Just been gelded and has some decent form over sprints, running just behind Russian Rock, albiet at Durbanville. And stable comments aren't the worse.
My second choice here would be Old Tawny in an open race.

Race 2 - Arrendelle @ 16/1 & Wave Siren @ 66/1
Arrendelle has run 2 more than decent sprints, but looks like Marcus has chosen owners other horse but we have seen 1st timers from Crawford stable sometimes not be 100% ready. (Cue the egg on face. LOL)
Wave Siren looks like bred for futher but siblings have done okay 1st time up and has decent jock up.

Race 5 - Path of Choice @ 10/1
Old fav of mine, distance suited and decent draw. Dropped 14 points in MR and looks like stands a chance

T8 Winter Stories 10/1 ew. Been kind to me in past, back down to min trip but on breeding has the speed to keep with them, and any cut in ground will suit.

T10 Tierra del Fuego 8/1 ew. Classy sort who should be fitter today, wide draw but down in class and any rain a massive boost for his chances.

Major Winter tough to beat an taking the double with Van Gogh in the last in cape town ...hopefully around 2/1 or so the two to win.

Will add Anna Capri at odds on as well to the above and take the three low odds runners in a variety of doubles and a treble.

Barak is coming back to form, stable is ok, top jock and is around the 5/1 mark.

War of Athena is a machine, has had a lot of racing but keeps delivering , with that in mind though I am forced to lean towards Anything Goes at 12/10.

Race 1 - Sea Cruise @ 7/1
First run was impressive and was just behind the original fav Imbeje who I thought was probably best bet on the card before its scratching. So will go for Sea Cruise

Race 2 - Quenaza @ 12.5/1
Last 2 runs have been disappointing but today gets form jock up and stable normally only does that when horse has a chance.

Race 4 - Silvan Park @ 20/1
Form Jock again and gelded. Based on breeding is looking for this trip.

Race 5 - Mystery Boy @ 11/1
