Super Rugby Trans-Tasman, Rainbow Cup, Premiership, Varsity Cup 31 May - 6 June

The Brumbies let us down in the Friday newsletter and we came within an Aaron Smith knock on of landing a 2nd successive double digit acca. Overall though a decent weekend with Canes overs arriving very late, Waratahs overs coming early, Reds overs and the outright win landing and a late play on Highlanders o35.5 also getting up.

Looking ahead to next week we have the Varsity Cup final on Monday and here UCT are -4.5 against Tuks

Here are my handicap projections for the 4th round of Super-Rugby Trans-Tasman - I think I could be well out on a few

Crusaders -35.5 v Force
Reds +3.5 v Blues
Chiefs -22.5 v Rebels
Highlanders -25.5 v Waratahs
Brumbies +4.5 v Hurricanes

Rainbow Cup SA also gets going again - handicap projections below

Bulls -7.5 v Stormers
Lions +3.5 v Sharks

There is also Gallagher Premiership and Rainbow Cup Pro 14 to punt on

Saders -33 @ 10/11 early big play.

Points difference key for them, have to make up some ground and Robertson already saying this is their aim Friday.

Reds +9 very tempting, but Blues could also grind them down and pull away late. Reds points will be a better market in my view.

Canes -6 would by my next best bet after Saders. Brumbies yet to really convince.

But Saders minus my big cap play and other games points markets will have my interest.

Like Saders and Canes too, but strongest on Tahs +29

They're awful, but on current form will score 20-25 points, meaning Landers will need to score 50+ to beat the cap.
Hard to see that happening.

Newcastle Falcons -5.5

Like this spot after their huge turnover vs Exeter this weekend, meaning they definitely target the last two games against Worcester and the Harlequins. They are a class above the Warriors imo, plus some fans back for the last home game of the season, they should take this one quite easily.

Burned last week by conceding too many but piling back in on the Crusaders on the minus as well.

Feel like if they decide they want to score at will as well as defend they can and will, 50+ beat down incoming.

Latest news, Crusaders resting some big guns, line has moved to 30.5, am wary of this line now. Richie Mo'unga, George Bower, Sam Whitelock and Sevu Reece all being rested.

Squad list

Will Jordan, Manasa Mataele, Braydon Ennor, David Havili, Leicester Fainga'anuku, Fergus Burke, Bryn Hall, Cullen Grace, Sione Havili Talitui, Whetukamokamo Douglas, Mitchell Dunshea, Scott Barrett, Michael Alaalatoa, Codie Taylor, Tamaiti Williams.

Nathan Vella, Isileli Tu'ungafasi, Oliver Jager, Luke Romano, Tom Sanders, Mitchell Drummond, Dallas McLeod, Josh McKay.

Still a good win coming up but -34.5 could be a tad much.

I will bet taking Crusaders to score a try in the first 10 mins via Bet365, usually a bet like this pays at least $1.80, then ill probably bet live, team to score the next try, first half total team points etc.

Local weather forecast for this game is for low wind and zero rain at kick off.

Good luck!

Bugger no Richie. 4 point cap shift but will have to sit on it. Still fairly bullish.

I will follow TOS and Graham on Warathas +27,5 , my biggest strike on the Points.
Me think the Brumbies have a chance this weekend of the AU teams. Brumbies +4,5 my early play.
The Reds vs Blues , a total Points is the best play.

Reds vs Blues, over 54.5 pts, perfect conditions at Suncorp Stadium, Blues have to win to stay in touch with the Crusaders and they beat the Aussie sides easily til now. Reds at home, playing a positive rugby and scoring a lot, there should be some points.

They're awful, but on current form will score 20-25 points, meaning Landers will need to score 50+ to beat the cap.
Hard to see that happening.

Better option would be to take Tahs points line when on offer imo. They concede plenty but do have this knack of accumulating points themselves lol :)

Not sure how/why I overestimated the Tahs defence lol

Did take some under 83.5 points in play which arrived to offset the loss here somewhat

What was the Tahs points line??
