B&I Lions v Sharks & Bull, Currie Cup, Internationals 7 -11 July

A decent weekend for me in the end thanks to the BIL Lions running riot at Ellis Park and was very pleased to land the Newsletter Bet Bet.

Lots of midweek and weekend rugby ahead

The Sharks play the Lions on Wednesday and I am too late with my cap as the likes of WSB have already priced up

Sharks +23.5 v B&I Lions (this game takes place at Ellis Park)

Currie Cup - here are my handicap projections:

Wednesday: WP -18.5 v Griquas
Weekend: Cheetahs -0.5 v Pumas, Sharks -7.5 v Lions (not sure what the Lions game midweek will mean to the Sharks in terms of team selections)

There is also a number of International matches on the weekend

Won't pretend to know a whole load about the Sharks team, maybe on of you local guys can enlighten me but that back row for the Lions won't let them have a second to breathe, can see Lions wracking up some points before Sharks know what's hit them.
Back 3 also looks superb, will pose all sorts of issues, taking the -24.

Couple of interest bets on Aus v France
Banks to score 3/1
Mcdermott last try 25/1
Tupou last try 40/1

Keep an eye on this Italian U20 side. They are more than impressing. Bodes well for the future of Italian rugby!

been very good but like their snr team, faded badly 2nd half.

Have leaked on 2 rugby games today and badly need Sharks/Lions game to go ahead to recover.

I somehow think the Sharks will offer stern resistance tonight and give the Lions a scare. They are the one SA team (I feel) which relishes playing foreign teams, as evident in their historic performances against NZ Super rugby teams (By no means a suitable comparison, I know). A weaker Lions side as well imo as the one which faced the Lions.

1. Halftime handicap: Sharks + 12.5 @ 0.9/1
2. Home team first half points: over 6.5 @ 0.85/1
3. Fulltime handicap: Sharks + 24.5 @ 0.9/1
4. Total points home team: over 14.5 @ 0.85/1

Hoping Defence wins out and Tom curry and navidi jackal all day.

This is going to end up with 100 points right.

This game should be choice. Won't read much into both sides results last week.

It's a first choice Pumas side against a Wales B side.

Full strength, hungry Pumas vs covid + injury depleted cheetahs.

Pumas robbed of a lineout out 5m out at the desth...ball clearly came off Cheetahs player before going out.

Ouch!

Yeah I was on Pumas overs and then at HT took the minus as well.

No matter the lineout at the end... consensus was that this Pumas side would walk this match.

Don't know what to put it down to? Puma players tired? Over-confident? Cheetahs depth good? or just bad read?

Thankfully this market had moved before the newsletter came out - awful from the Pumas and I think they have that small team mentality and actually play better when they are underdogs with no pressure on them

I suppose that’s the beauty of the site and sport in general. We can disagree. I can’t see that this sharks side is a stronger side than their side earlier in the week, and actually think this Lions side is stronger than their midweek side.
Can’t see the sharks getting close.

Fiji really impressive up to 60min today, love watching them.

I took the Fiji over 11.5 on basis All Blacks would try to cut loose and give Fiji chances, and similar thoughts on Sharks Lions. The Sharks points is almost like a sympathy line, the ref will give them some soft calls in their favour if getting thumped.

Trying to find that best line but will be joining in.

Eyeing out Pumas points in Cardiff but waiting on conditions. For now quite heavily invested in the +6.5, which has shortened a few points.

Joined on the Pumas pumas plus 5.5 last night , main bet. Looking at unders in the game and 48.5 seems best so lesser bet on that . Have lumped on the Sharks plus 44.5 and hoping they can trouble the scoreboard so hoping you right South.

Matthew Carley reffing. Forgot how much I hated Him.

Sheedy is a worse goal kicker than Mounga. Embarrassment.
