The calm before the storm!

Only Gallagher and URC this weekend which is still alot of rugby but the Currie Cup takes a break and the 6 Nations and Super Rugby are around the corner.

The Bulls cost us our newsletter Best Bet but unlike last week where I hit the Best Bet but still lost this weekend I bounced back strongly. I never got involved in the HCC (although I think I would have done well following some of the overs plays in the forum) and may main play was over 57.5 Lions v Sharks onto over 50.5 Bulls v WP

It was large enough that I took some cover at +57.5 close to kick off and that final WP try which we could not watch (surely Supersport should have at least got one of the commentators on the phone) cost me my Sharks/Bulls win double but landed my overs and I hit the cover bet and after a slow start to the year I am suddenly back in front if only just.

I missed the fact that the local teams were in action so never did my own handicaps but I see the lines are out

Lions +10.5 v Bulls
Sharks -3.5 v Stormers

I am leaning towards both the minus at this point

Guys, be reminded that some of the Gallagher Premiership and URC teams in the UK, Italy and France, will be impacted by preparations for the 6 Nations.
I've been hurt in the past by top teams turning into shite without their stars, maybe most of us have

Bit of a lengthy post ahead:

URC:

Stormers vs Sharks:

Either team by 7 or less at 13/10.

Smaller on Stormers +4.5

Lions vs Bulls:

Lions +10.5

Dragons vs Treviso

Dragons -3.5. Must win for the pub side.

Connacht vs Glasgow

Connacht -4.5/5.5. Connacht too good at home - Glasgow depleted.

Ospreys vs Edinburgh

Opposing the Welsh sides here. Edinburgh -1.5

Ulster vs Scarlets:

Too big a handicap for me. Scarlets +19.5

6 Nations:

England to win the triple crown. Playing Wales and Ireland at home and Scotland away - great value at 18/10

English Premiership:

Bath vs Harlequins:

Emptied the tank on Bath +36.5 yesterday - no idea why the cap is so high. I see the game has been taken down everywhere.

Warriors vs Saints

Warriors to edge a close one against a depleted Saints side.

Sale vs Tigers:

One of my strongest of the weekend. Sale board at 0.73. No Ford, no party for Leicester.

Newcastle vs Gloucester:

Going for the form side here: feel good story for Glouc at the moment. Glouc board at 7/10

LI vs Chiefs:

Irish have been impressive but can't ignore a plus on the Chiefs here - Rob Baxter will have some tricks up his sleeve. Chiefs +3.5

I took Germany 7s +7 vs Ireland. Some players are back in Germany. Conway still out.

Does someone know where Ruggabugga and son of a punt are ? They were very good.

Honda fook lads ,

premiership this weekend , all over Bath on the plus 11.5 , can't believe there was 36.5 with a few blokes early , good heavens !
only concern is the 10 for bath , normally a centre and 5th choice but otherwise all good.

exeter plus 2.5 , just can't have irish as the favourites though the betting probably makes sense.

gloucester lose players but are class , the falcons could have rallied during the break but for me minus 2.5 is yummy !

warriors are a bogy side for me but then so are saints , i think saints are average without their star players , tentatively and least strong bet of the weekend , warriors minus 1.5 .

lastly all over sale on the minus like a cheap pair of ukranian panties on the minus 2.5 at 4/5 .

play well comrades

Canada 7s vs Kenya 7s

Last week in Malaga Canada won 19-17.
Kenya wanted to perform better here in Seville, but they played poorly against Australia in the first group match (0-42).
Canada missed plenty of opportunities to beat Scotland in the first game, but they just couldn't do it and lost 5-21.
I expect Canada to improve here. Kenya players were just too far from making an impact.

Bet 1: Canada +2.5 @1.87
Bet 2: Over 35.5 points @1.90

Australia 7s vs Scotland 7s

Scotland started the tournament with a gutsy win over Canada, 21-5, even though for a short while they played in 5 men due to some yellow cards.
Australia want to consolidate their position in the top 3 and they demolished Kenya in the first round, 42-0.
The matches between these sides produce high scores in general.

Bet 1: Australia -14.5 @1.90
Bet 2: Over 37.5 points @1.83

Lions v Bulls Betting Preview

Unders always a nervous play with Rasta and in Joburg but loads of rain last night and I suspect we could get some more. Conditions certainly won't be perfect I don't think and suspect the 60.5 could come in 2 or 3 points

USA W 7s vs Spain W 7s

USA are on a long winning run and they won last week's tournament in Malaga, where Spain finished 9th.
This weekend Spain beat only Belgium, but lost by big margins to Australia and France, teams of similar calibre to USA.

Spain 7s vs Canada 7s

Spain has played very well at home these past two tournaments, in Malaga and now in Sevilla. They are improving and their results show it, as they beat Scotland and Wales, among other teams.
Canada has been a disappointment in both tournaments held in Spain, as they lost all but two of their matches.
Playing at home they should take care of business here.

Bet: Spain -6.5 @1.80

Japan 7s vs Jamaica 7s

These are two of the weakest teams in the competition, and they lost their matches by big scores.
When they payed each other in the play-offs last weekend, the score was 24-24 after the regular time.
I expect a similarly high score today as well.

Bet: Over 39.5 points @1.91
