Six Nations Week 5, Super Rugby Pacific, Currie Cup, URC, 16-20 March

Wow what a weekend. I ended up quite nicely up and I can only thank goodness I only bet big when watching games as I was in terrible shape on Friday and Saturday morning but was too busy to watch so losses were small.

I have never had a weekend where so many bets looked so good and lost

Highlanders +10.5 and they lead 13-3 with an easy 3 points before the break - they kick for the corner and butcher and lose by 12
Sharks match u53,5 points - 6-6 at the break I mean come on man
Then the Newsletter bet - what a horrid run - Bulls -6.5 and they lead 29-3 with under 20 to play - 3 unanswered converted tries for Munster at altitude and it finished 29-24- I mean come on man. Amazingly that came signaled my comeback as Bulls over 28.5 and half time over 52.5 both sneak in.
I then won England v Ireland overs and Lions v Cardiff overs after the hooters. Both had looked home and hosed only to just arrive and not sure how I would have responded to losses there.

Anyways on we march and there is midweek Currie Cup - here are my projected handicaps

Griquas -6.5 v Lions
Cheetahs -13.5 v WP
Bulls -4.5 v Sharks

Then we have Super Rugby Pacific Week 5 - my projected caps

Highlanders -19.5 v Moana Pasifika
Brumbies -7.5 v Reds
Drua +10.5 v Force
Hurricanes -5.5 v Chiefs
Waratahs -13.5 v Rebels
Crusaders -6.5 v Blues

The Six Nations final week caps are out

Wales -27.5 v Italy
Ireland -14.5 v Scotland
France -8.5 v England

In the URC the SA teams play host again - here are my projected caps

Bulls -19.5 v Scarlets
Lions -2.5 v Munster
Sharks -36.5 v Zebre
Stormers -13.5 v Cardiff

The Gallagher takes a rest

Early Super Rugby lines are out WSB in brackets based on home team

Highlanders -19.5 v Moana Pasifika (-19.5)
Brumbies -7.5 v Reds (-1.5)
Drua +10.5 v Force (+7.5)
Hurricanes -5.5 v Chiefs (+2.5)
Waratahs -13.5 v Rebels (-13.5)
Crusaders -6.5 v Blues (-4.5)

6 point difference in Brumbies game and a 7 point difference in Canes game - I expect money will come for the Brumbies and Hurricanes at those lines

Would be cautious on Canes as covid outbreak means squad won’t train much together if at all until Thursday, and some could still miss deadline to play Sunday.

Rebels +14.5 at 9/10.

Don't like Toomua at 10 but should be a scrap.

Tahs will be happy to just get over the line in this one.

Tentative play on Zebre +43.5 at 9/10.

Can't see the Sharks scoring more than 54/55 points assuming a Zebre line of 10.5.

Durban humidity will help.

Taking a max bet at this treble today (5 Units)
Griquas, Cheetahs, Bulls all to win at Evens

Loads of points opportunities today but I am keeping it simple today.

Surprised to see the Reds getting 5 point start in Canberra. Brumbies have been going well, but this is the top of the Aus table clash and their real test. For me this is a choice game and I'm very happy to take the Reds +5.5. Reckon this will be very close and won't put anyone off the "any team by 7 or less or the draw" either. I just feel more comfortable with the Reds plus and picking them to win the game.

Have added Brumbies under 3.5 tries at 9/10 and smaller under 6.5 total tries at 8/10

Reds conceded 1 try in each of their 3 games and last week switched off when the game was won and conceded 3 tries late.

Brumbies conceded 2 tries in each game except against Drua where they conceded no tries.

Top of the Aus table clash I expect the 3 pointers to be kicked and we have unders ref in Damon Murphy.

Unders on points look good aswell, but I prefer unders on tries here.

Went to watch some school rugby yesterday, arrived there half time of the Munster game and my Munster outright (Newsletter Best Bet) and Munster over 29.5 cruising

I cannot believe they didn't score a point in the 2nd half and lost the game

The pain was lessoned though when France delivered the 11/1 acca to save the day.

Stormers v Cardiff Betting Preview

No strong feel here but reckon Welsh rugby could be about to feel more pain
