What a weekend it was for followers of our rugby betting show #TheHandicap as the panel of Thoughts on Sports, The Understaker and Chad were simply on fire.
Full credit to that team for the Newsletter Best Bet and a 10/1 acca arriving (3 in a row now)

For the 2nd weekend in a row I made a profit but finished with the feeling it could have been so much better. The reason this time is I over committed on Edinburgh overs a play that was never a runner. I had backed them as the lines came out and had a big double at 5/2 with Bulls overs. Problem was the latter looked like losing and I didn't feel I had enough on (its called Greed) and piled in some more.
The Bulls then delivered and I now stood to make (and lose a packet) on Edi and sadly it was the latter.

Thankfully the Hurricanes and the Acca pulled me back into profit.

Ok then onto this weekend where we have Midweek Currie Cup, Heineken Champions Cup, 4 URC local derbies and of course Super Rugby Pacific. There is also the Singapore 7's but we can start another thread for that one.

Currie Cup Midweek - my projected handicaps

Pumas -13.5 v Lions
Griquas +3.5 v Sharks
Bulls -12.5 v WP

Super Rugby Pacific projected handicaps

Highlanders -13.5 v Moana
Force -12.5 v Rebels
Hurricanes +5.5 v Crusaders
Chiefs -4.5 v Blues
Fijian Drua +12.5 v Brumbies

URC projected handicaps for the 2 derbies

Stormers -3.5 v Bulls
Sharks -9.5 v Lions

There is already betting on the HCC matches

WSB are out with Super Rugby handicaps - theirs in brackets

Highlanders -13.5 v Moana (-18.5 I believe Moana have some injury and Covid concerns so not jumping on the plus)
Force -12.5 v Rebels (-7.5, quite a big difference here)
Hurricanes +5.5 v Crusaders (+7.5)
Chiefs -4.5 v Blues (-0.5 a 4 point difference)
Fijian Drua +12.5 v Brumbies (+17.5, also a significant difference)

Quite a few different to mine but may well be me not having watched enough of the Aussie teams and Drua

Currie Cup: Griquas vs Sharks

Sharks with an exciting team for tomorrow (Venter, Richardson & Gumede as loosies) but Kwaste are a battle hardened unit with sole focus on this comp.

Currently in 4th spot the home team will know they must win this one.

Griquas to win at 9/10

My god, the Griquas know how to make you angry. They could’ve won this by 20; they just seem to like to find creative ways to blow opportunities

Unders for me in Force vs Rebels

Under 46.5 @ 1.91

Showers in the forecast in Perth tonight and these teams have historically played each other to close, low-scoring matches.

-4 of the last 5 Force matches have gone Under 46.5
-4 of the last 5 H2H between Force and Rebels have gone Under 46.5

Will probably also place some money on a Rebels +5.5/Under 46.5 same game parlay @ 3.60

Let’s not forget fellas, Rugby Sevens returns in Singapore this week. Opening lines are up at bet365:

France -21.5 vs Japan
Fiji -9.5 vs Ireland
Scotland -2.5 vs Wales
New Zealand -2.5 vs Argentina
England -10.5 vs Spain
Australia -17.5 vs Samoa
USA -10.5 vs Kenya
South Africa -24.5 vs Canada

My initial fancies are:

Fiji -9.5
Scotland -2.5
NZ -2.5

To me those lines look well off what they should be, will be getting involved early on those

Will also be placing a Fiji/Scotland/NZ win treble

The Under looked dead in the water. But the glorious rains came and saved our skin in the last 10 minutes. The +5.5/UN46.5 parlay hits as well! Well done to everyone on the Rebels plus.

Strong bet for tonight:

Tom Woolstencroft anytime @ 15/8 for Saracens v Brive. First @ 8/1

Saracens have a -20 handicap.

Woolstencroft scored 8 in 6 games last month before George returned from the Six Nations, scoring in every single match. He also was Sarrie’s first tryscorer in 5 of those.

No brainer. Bring on the driving maul!

I am playing with fire tonight , I'm going to oppose Leinster on the handicap with a side that has been so horrible to me for many seasons .... Connacht .

A side I love to hate but they certainly owe me.

It's sold out in Galway and just funking they catch a break .

Love some unders this weekend while Clermont are my best bet of the weekend.

Any chance of a fucking replay on the lineout there? Looks like Barrett thrown over, that’s offside. Pickerill is a nightmare.

Savea played in the air on the way up in that final line out. What is the fucking reluctance to use the TMO? Wtf. Stan Sport Rugby (@StanSportRugby) Tweeted: Ardie Savea is not happy

Was there a call missed on that last line-out?

Money on ALB to score - off injured.

Chiefs hooker to score - knocks on over the line.

To better that, I had Cardiff to win against Scarlets and was feeling good when they were dominant in the 1st 20 and went 14 - 0 up.

49 unanswered points later ......

I think THE most spineless performance ever.
