Talk about coming back down to earth with a bang! An awful weekend for me giving alot of recent profits back and the Hurricanes v Crusaders match was he big culprit as was large on over 55.5 (35 points in the 1st half) and then just before kickoff reacted to team news backing the Crusaders overs and minus - poor discipline as I was already committed to the overs and should rather have reacted to the late ref change - what a nightmare

Virtually everything in the newsletter lost and lets just hope the Easter Weekend is a better one

Quite a bit of rugby to look forward to starting on Tuesday (we have a separate thread for Varsity Cup)

Super Rugby Pacific - handicap projections

Hurricanes -18.5 v Moana Pasifika (team news will be vital given short turnaround)
Crusaders -4.5 v Blues
Rebels +7.5 v Reds
Chiefs v Pasifika (will wait for Tuesdays game but expect a big Chiefs minus)
Highlanders -4.5 v Hurricanes (Canes also play Tuesday)
Force +2.5 v Waratahs

There is Currie Cup this weekend and I am not confident in these projected handicaps

WP +17.5 v Cheetahs
Lions +8.5 v Griquas
Sharks +5.5 v Bulls

Then we also have Heineken Champions Cup 2nd leg matches and a lone URC match from what I can tell

So how dumb am I - I think they have the wrong favourite in the Crusaders v Blues game.
I think the Blues win by under 13.
So I've anchored them as my banker :woohoo: at +4.5 and taken them at 1-12 also.
Blues win it ? I'm having a good weekend.

If not, I'll just get drunk  :beer :woohoo: :woohoo:

Also Blues, Reds, and Tahs to win by 1-12 in acca @ 25.62 (Sunbet)

Currie Cup handicaps are up and WSB caps in brackets next to mine

WP +17.5 (+12.5) v Cheetahs
Lions +8.5 (+3.5) v Griquas
Sharks +5.5 (+6.5) v Bulls

Some serious differences of opinion and I like Griquas -3.5 (although not jumping in until I am sure none of the URC guys will be playing)

Going for a Friday Easter double of unders on points in Crusaders v Blues and Rebels v Reds.

Don’t know the points, don’t care.
Don’t know the odds, don’t care.

I do know the refs:
Mike Fraser (looks like one of the matrix agents)
Damon Murphy (looks like someone you’d seat near the toilets at your wedding)

Hoping around 3.5 -1 odds, expecting tight one in Christchurch - basically a final.

And Mounga cannot kick for love or money. So confident of anything under 52.5… firing in to that.

I had them to win from the start - thought I would be cautious!

I'm thinking of a new strategy - unload on the exact opposite of what the best bets say ! :-)

Took some +18.5 after the red card, that was a crazy line given Saders record and Blues frail mentality

Gutted they didn't get over at the end, but what an outstanding game!

If a team like Montpelier cant defend a 1st leg lead of 14 points against Harlequins then I give up.

Montpelier +16 @10/11

Let's hope for a middle lads, I climbed into Quins -6 earlier in the week.
To be honest I'd still take the minus at current line, think they'll put on a show.

Also a large double Quins win & La Rochelle win @ 1.5, skinny odds but just cannot see either losing

Vermeulen to score anytime v Munster @ 9/2
First 22/1
Double 50/1 (?!)
Team first 9/1

Simmonds isn’t playing today, so Vermeulen is at 8. That’s an advantage both in that in a better scoring position, and that Simmonds won’t be there to take the ball over the line when close.

Vermeulen has scored 4 since returning from injury, scoring in 3 of the 5 games

Should be a scrappy game and exeter love to push over close to the line

Edit: all with skybet

Looks like Leicester are going to wipe out my days profits, 7-3 at half time. Hardly looks like a 17pt handicap game!

After 5 straight wins and 1 lost acca on Friday:
Saturday gives me 12 straight losses in a row and not a single win.

Fuckit : :pinch:

A break is needed.
