A decent weekend for me with the Irish plus and Wales unders points and tries arriving (the latter was our newsletter best bet - Sign up here - but for the 3rd time I got Australia v England wrong and that game costs me the acca once again.

No rugby that I am aware of for the next 2 weeks so THE HANDICAP will take a rare break until the 1st week of August

If you have any views on the rugby champs or any other rugby over the next couple of weeks this thread will be the place to post it.

A quick look at the Rugby Champs Betting at WSB

New Zealand 9/10 (play SA away, Argentina at home and home and away with Aus)
Boks 7/4 (NZL at home, Aussie away, Argentina home and away)
Australia 9/2 (Arg away, SA at home and NZL home and away)
Argentina 28/1 (Aus at home, NZL away, SA home and away)

Have a good week everyone

So if the Boks vs ABs is a choice game then better backing ABs each game than outright at 9/10 if playing them.

Commonwealth Sevens tomorrow.

Women’s
Aus v SA +40.5 - SA team has had quite some preparations and 40 is a lot when the game is won. Expect SA to score at least once.

NZ v Canada +19.5 - NZ hasn’t played much and Canada is always competitive.

Men’s
Aus v Jamaica -39.5 - Australia won London easily and Jamaica was nowhere in Spain this year. Looking for a fast start

NZ v Sri Lanka under 67.5 points. I’m calling this the bet of the day. Admittedly I’ve never seen Sri Lanka play and the old results of theirs shows around 50-60 point games on the higher end.

The maths just don’t add up here. Throw in 11 kick receives, time wasted for conversions and the odd knock-on or lineout, I can’t see 67.5 points scored in 14 minutes.
- 9/10 converted tries
- 8/11 converted tries etc

Yeah 100% looking back to 2018 I only count 5 games going over 50 and only 1 game squeaking over 60. All it takes is one messy scrum for time to be your friend.

Clearly the wrong call. It lost.

Was also invested on over 38.5 in Eng v Samoa - 34-0. Now that was the right call, wrong result.

Do you ever just stop and read what you’re writing?

Giving someone stick because you followed their published bet… nobody is asking you to follow every single tip posted on this forum and then moaning about it until eternity.

Alright bro - put it in your dream journal. Im just joshing. The number of poor bets I've published is ridiculous.
It was a rough break. Agreed.

Probably easier to shout from the stands when you’ve lost than publishing your bets after the result.

Anyway, following the same plan with Fiji.
Under 64 points, but adding Fiji -38 (9/10) and -44 19/10.

Nice big spread to cover both ways if Zambia does a Sri Lanka

Under 72.5 in Nz v Sri Lanka women.
Praying for a bit of fatigue and perhaps a scrum or two.

Seeing every try being scored under the sticks, so 10 tries is max allowance. Very possible! Tight either way.

36-0 at HT. this under 72.5 is looking like a bust.

Ffs, what’s the point of Sri Lanka. Honestly. Like, why is Sri Lanka

Uganda Over 33.5 V Jamaica

Strongest bet of the tournament for me. Uganda has looked good in both games and this play comes down to the maths. They should be targeting at least 63 points against very weak opposition. We have seen an upper limit in these games of not much more. But they will not waste time in this one. I see 40 at a minimum and 55 - 65 points giving them a shot at sending Australia home early should the loose to Kenya.
