A very quiet weekend for me without a bet being struck but it looks like the lads did ok with their NPC picks and well done to the Conductor for hitting his best bet on Southland

Onto this weekend and some great Rugby Championship action as well as NPC and also the LA 7s

Rugby Championship

Outright Betting at WSB

New Zealand 3/10
Boks 33/10
Australia 9/1
Argentina 40/1

Current handicaps (in brackets) v my original forecast

Australia -4.5 v South Africa (-4.5) - this opened Boks +4.5 overseas and then choice locally but the line now where I expected it

New Zealand -14.5 v Argentina (-20.5) - open -21.5 and has not really moved

Rise and shine its bookie buttkicking time.

Per TAB NZ:

Tasman +5.5 v Cantabs
Waikato -26.5 v Manawatu
Hawkes bay -2.5 v North harbour
Auckland -7.5 v Otago
Bop -8.5 v Counties
Wellington -6.5 v Taranaki
Northland -5.5 v Southland

At these lines the initial value for me is Hawkes Bay as they have Brodie Retallick back for the game but it’s always slightly dangerous as it’s a Ranfurly Shield game. Will look for points as well being a afternoon kickoff. NH defense can be awful.

Also like Auckland and Bay of Plenty on the minus. Otago had a heavy “storm” week and lose Dickson to AB’s.

Tasman +10.5 (+5.5) v Cantabs
Waikato -18.5 (-26.5) v Manawatu
Hawkes bay +1.5 (-2.5) v North harbor
Auckland Evens (-7.5) v Otago
Bop -7.5 (-8.5)v Counties
Wellington -7.5 (-6.5) v Taranaki
Northland -3.5 (-5.5) v Southland

I have North Harbour going in as the favorite.

Auckland Otago a lot closer IMO Auckland is just tired.

Similarly I'm off a bit on Waikato v Manawatu line, Manawatu has a brutal schedule and another 5 day turnaround. It could get ugly, But will probably look to have a go at Waikato on the minus at half time if Manawatu can hold on for 40. To high otherwise to play pregame.

Canterbury -5.5 is probably a bit of an over reaction to the Taranaki loss. That Taranaki field is a FU$KEN disgrace. No professional team should be playing of a surface like that. Add to that the uprights are not high enough so the touch judges cant tell if the ball is kicked through or not. Hunt for unders on that field all season long.

Tasman v Canterbury

Using Google earth as their TMO images. What a shambles that competition is.

Mike Fraser is a disgrace. Jeez he has been utterly shocking in this game.

Birdboxed himself through that 80mins

Do we have any Pro D2 punters around? Tourney is back in the swing and in French rugby the home advantage is HUGE!

In ProD2 I see Provence and Montauban strong favourites. Both teams far better than their opponents.

Provence+Montauban+Mont de Marsan around @2 is the valuebet this weekend.

Vannes @1.60 for small stake.

I'm with you on the +7.5. It will be a hell of a game and it probably will come down to penalties to decide the game. Gatland is kicking well for Nth Harbour. I'm also adding under 56.5 points as it is a bit windy as well and both sides will be desperate.

Well done any aus punters.

My bet builder went south so I feel forced to try a bigger odds bet to try recover -

NZ win both halves by more than 12pts @ 5/2

Awful call! The Georgian referee was perfect for Argentina as there was zero flow to the game!

For my mind BOP was flying under the radar but the line movement suggests otherwise. Values gone with the line moving from 7.5 to 12.5. So I have taken a smaller play on -22.5 this is a bad spot for Counties they leak points and with Nanai out I'm not sure how they generate points in this one.

Northland V Southland is just screaming out as an unders game.
