The big disappointment this week was the cancellation of the Sharks and Lions games and with Lions overs the Newsletter Best bet we had a rare scratching.

Aside from that though I had one of my better weekends hitting the Bulls and Connacht on Friday night and then Dragons on Sunday afternoon. Leinster overs was my only loser but that was offset by the double I had ending on Leinster -11.5 from when the caps came out.

I also followed the Conductor with unders in the NPC final and absolutely loved the "Unders Train Ride" in the Women's Rugby World Cup - there is a seperate betting thread for that tournament and you can click here for my handicap projections for the quarter finals

Here are my projected caps for this weeks URC action

Warriors -10.5 v Benetton
Scarlets +17.5 v Leinster
Lions -2.5 v Stormers
Munster +0.5 v Ulster
Dragons -9.5 v Zebre
Ospreys -0.5 v Cannacht
Bulls -2.5 v Sharks
Cardiff -0.5 v Edinburgh

I may be wrong (Narrator: He often is wrong) but looks like a few choice games in there

Appears the bookies are delaying the URC lines here in the UK - I suspect because of Ulster and Glasgow. They are nearly always out by now.

UK PREM LINES
Gloucester -1.5 v Exeter
Harlequins -8.5 v London Irish
Northampton -5.5 v Bristol
Saracens -9.5 v Sale

Yip I think bookies waiting for team news for URC - when I handicapped games I wasn't thinking of the Sharks for example not having their internationals so would need to take a relook.

Scotland v Aus mens

Decent strike Australia win @ 11/10

Think they are going very serious this tour, I like the squad and benefit from some good showings from a few who played for A side vs Japan series.

Showed against Boks and All Blacks can match it with best when on form.

Scotland first game up in a while, soundly beaten in Argentina, missing players who play outside Scotland due to window. Also not sure but got to think Glasgow contingent may be a bit still undercooked after illness in squad, if believe all reports.

11/10 good for me to have a decent strike.

Agree.

Premiership players also unavailable for selection this week:
- Redpath
- Hastings
- Harris
- J Gray
- Bayliss
- Ben White
- Stuart Hogg

I feel the bookies haven't factored this in.

Note on the Ospreys

Toby Booth has confirmed Wales are releasing no players.
Plus injuries to Webb, Myler, and Collins is a 50/50.

All over Connacht

Conditions in Llanelli are clear with a gently southerly breeze - perfect for running rugby and over 50 points! :-)

EDIT: Well that was truly dreadful. About about 6 scores left on the park when ball got turned over on 5 meters. Terrible skills by Scarlets in particular. Ended 5-35.

Hey Brent? How much is a beer in SA? I find that this is a better indicator of the real worth of the R500 that you will get off the Oracle :-)

Poor weekend for me so far and annoyed with the Lions

Well played the overs South

Ukster over 21.5 Australia over 22.5 at 24/10 to claw some back

You're not alone - I'm on a 7 bet losing streak last one being Australia -2.

So I decide to call it quits but I would have gone Ospreys +5.5. They are 12 - 0 up after 15 mins lol ......
