Leicester -7.5 ha @1.90 2u

Clermont expect to rotate and Leicester with their big guns back.

All french clubs with away matches this weekend may rotate due to derby matches in Top14 next weekend

So too for the Premiership and URC teams.
They've also got league games on the Xmas eve weekend.

French teams (also Pro D2) usually make rotations in away games and focus on home games and derbis.

French punter told me about Clermont rotation this week and full strength Bordeaux (except Lucu and Falatea that will be out)

Castres plays against Toulouse so may send a C team as they are already out of contention in CC. SR expect to make small changes in their visit to Belfast.

Value has gone now. Line moved from -7. I wouldn't advise taking -13.5

SR expect to make small changes in their visit to Belfast.

Pablo, does your French punter mate have any insight as to how La Rochelle will tackle Ulster/Belfast ?
They have Bordeaux at home next week, so important game for them.

We know that Ulster will throw everything they've got at them, but what to expect from the defending champions ?
Ulster also have only a 5 day window to play away at Connacht (derby), so, after their beatings of the last 2 weeks, who knows how they're react this week. I think they'll aproach this week and next as 'Must Wins' ?

I thinks SR wins it. But... ? Small changes... ?

We don't know about motivation from SR but a losing bonus point away always look valuable for French teams. The point here is if Cooney is fit to play as Ulster looks pretty average without him. If he is clear to play, value Ulster +4.5.

Union Bordeaux Bègles v Sharks, Friday preview

goodforthegame.co.za/Heineken-Cup/union-...review-and-tips.html

Choice game on some SA books now ...

The bet that takes my eye is what WSB refer to as the Tribet where at the time of writing they have Bordeaux to win by 7 points or more at 13/10. the Sharks to win by 7 or more at 28/10 and any other result at 15/10.

Any other result is my play.

TriBet, “any other result” at 15/10 with WSB

I took a decent strike on Leinster o44.5 @1.83 3u as they will face a depleted Glos side at home. For me is a +50 points at least as they look like a test team against a third string lineup. O54.5 total valuable as well as I think Leinster can reach it on their own.

Lions -7.5 @1.85 for 2u against an understrength SF side, looks for Lions overs points if opens below 35.5

Other Friday matches I have no special feelings so no bet, at least the handicaps.

Exeter v Bulls Preview

goodforthegame.co.za/Heineken-Cup/exeter...review-and-tips.html

Maain handicap line is 15.5 pretty much everywhere in SA now, I'm hoping that move has been overcooked, tentative call on Bulls +

I like Quins 8/10 win.

Expecting Racing to possibly rotate a bit with one eye on Paris derby 6 days later.

well no rotation from Racing, so market will probably stay same. If like me you're getting cold feet, there is Racing 14/10 and 28/1 draw with Hollywood to trade out.

Bet of the day: Bongi Mbonambi (ATTS) vs. Bordeaux at 2.80. If the Sharks are to come away with anything in this encounter, their forwards and in particular their rolling maul is going to be a crucial weapon. I fancy the Sharks to dominate the set-piece battle in a tough win.

I will also be putting a smaller stake on Mbonambi first try scorer.

I have a feeling with Bath +9.5 @1.90 so I´m going with 2u there. Mixed team Toulon while Bath nice lineup.

Waiting for points in Dragons-Pau as I think of a big home win against an understrength Pau side. Cardiff @1.53 nice banker

Scarlets opened at +5 but obviously now are favourites. Even that scarlets + dragons @1.80 looks nice for 2u.

No Steyn and Mohoje for Cheetahs are big blow while Pau travel with their youngsters (nice combo center and half pair but apart from that inexperienced players all over the park)

Dragons @1.10 killed two of my combos ...

Against a mixed academy Pau side, terrible display.
