Agree with Chris - keep bets small on EFL Cup - never know what side or attitude will play.
It took Brendan Rogers almost two months to get the Leicester defense sorted (they conceded 20 in their first 6 EPL matches). I'm presuming that will be the defense on display this evening.
Newcastle firsts look good but the club does not yet have the squad depth to mount a serious challenge over a full season. I expect Eddie to field a much weakened side tonight as the clubs main focus has to be those Champions League places.

Central Coast Mariners vs Newcastle Jets

The Mariners are fresh off the back of a 2-1 victory over Sydney FC at home.
A few days ago these two teams played their first match of the season and the Jets came away with a controversial victory, as the Mariners equalizer was ruled out for handball due to VAR intervention.

Now the Mariners are fired up for this match and based on their form and results, I think they'll get the win.
This is a local derby, and more often than not we have many cards.
Also, both defences are quite generous, so I expect goals as well.
