Nice to see everyone is allowed to play this year - even those players with forged Covid passports.

OUTRIGHTS

Tsitsipas has a poor record in majors but he is the player I have punted the most in the past year or two in the majors. Would hate to skip this tournament and he wins. He did win the ATP Tour finals last year and has looked sharp so far down under. Korda had a good tournament in Adelaide and ran Djokovic close in the final so he gets the nod.

Win
Tsitsipas @ 16/1
Korda @ 50/1
To make semi-final
Korda @ 9/1

Yes mate, tough to see him like that.
He was quite gallant, he didn't retire, he played the match to the end, and he still had some amazing winners, restricted as he was with his movement.

Hope he won't miss too much of the season.

Taking two underdogs and hoping to make one

Chardy v Evans and Brooksby v Ruud
Chardy did not play in 2022 due to an extremely adverse reaction to the jab. Played OK first time up. Evans has looked poor this year and shed a set to the average clay courter Bagnis on the first round. Ruud has still not convinced me on all weather courts and Brooksby could give him a hard time

Win
Chardy @ 5/1
Brooksby @ 24/10

Also think Popyrin looked pretty sharp yesterday and he is at home

Fritz v Popyrin
Over 34.5 games @ 17/20

Think Mannarino looked sharp against Big John so could sneak a set here.

Sir Andy Murray beat Berrettini, a feat not easy to achieve by young and healthy top 10 players.

Kokkinakis lost to Bautista Agut in his native city of Adelaide, at a tournament where he had to defend points from winning the title there last year.
He was very close to reaching another final, but he couldn't do it.

Murray is still big stage material, he still has the touch and skill.
Kokkinakis is still struggling to get into top 100. He is outside top 150.
He will have the crowd behind him, but... what if?

Bet: Murray @2.45

Great call Murray Quill. How he dug himself out of that hole I will never know.

McDonald v Nishioka
Over 38.5 games @ 19/20

Cerundolo v Auger Aliassime
AA has looked dodgy in both matches so far and I think the very fit Cerundolo could get a set here. Prefer the set bet to the games line because of the better odds

I don't think Murray will be able to do it again.
He's played two 5-setters with the second one being a record in duration.

I have a long term interest in Korda and Tsitsipas so I am sure they will give me stress tomorrow

Over 3.5 sets Hurkacz/Tsitsipas @ 12/10

Do not think Nishioka is as much of an underdog as the odds suggest so taking a double on the other two matches

Pegula vs Azarenka

Since the United Cup at the beginning of January, Pegula has not lost a single set.
That is 8 consecutive matches that she won 2-0, including against the dominant world number 1 Iga Swiatek, whom she demolished 6-2 6-2.

I have Pegula in a multi, as her win is a confident bet for me, but I'm taking her to win this 2-0 and continue her series.
Azarenka struggled in her last two matches, she looked far from the player who won here two times like 10 years ago.

Bet: Pegula 2-0 @2.00

Real kick in the cahonies in the first quarter. Lose my semi bet and the cover is a virtual "no bet" refund.

Tsitsipas v Lehecka
Small game punt here based mostly on the fact that Tsitsipas can go walk-about during a match.

Just cannot see Rublev pushing Djokovic on these courts. On clay he has a shot but 9 from 10 times on all weather he is in trouble.

Had a nice couple of days capping it with Rublev under 12.5 aces. On to tomorrow a couple of plays I like,Men doubles in the match between Granollers/ Zeballos vs Hijikata Kuble, no straight sets winner at 2.5 In the mixed doubles I like Stefani/Matos to win 2-0 vs Gadecki/ Polams for 2.0. Will also play Rybakina under 9.5 aces for 1.8 and last play will be Sabalenka under 5.5 aces at 2.0. All odds on 365

Djokovic vs Paul

Paul has done very well to get to this stage.
The way Djokovic has been playing, I really see only Tsitsipas to be able to trouble him.

In a longish match against Shelton, Paul managed only 7 aces.
Now he plays against the best returner in the world.

Bet 1: Total Breaks of Serve - Djokovic over 4.5 @1.61
Bet 2: Total Aces - Paul Under 6.5 @1.83

With Djokovic being so short I will let my 16/1 ticket ride in the hope that Tsitsipas starts hot. I think we get short sets here and am hoping Tsitsipas puts up a good fight.

Djokovic games over 20.5 @ 19/20 (Better bet then the over 3.5 sets @ 13/20)
