Good luck mate!

I also took Afghanistan @3.75.

If they score enough runs to make South Africa odds to increase towards 2, I will then counter with a South African bet, a bigger stake, to ensure some profit.

E.g. I put $100 on Afghanistan, and if SA odds come close to 2, then I'll do some calculations to see how much I should bet to ensure a profit.

Australia are lining up with their strongest available team.
Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Starc are missing this one to make sure they're 100% right for the finals.

Australia won the toss and chose to bowl first.

Bet: Bangladesh Under 248.5 runs @1.83

IND vs NED

Rohit Sharma over 1.5 sixes - 1.90
Bas de Leede over 1.5 wickets - 3.50

Hoping India bat first and score big (Sharma sixes) with Bas de Leede picking up some cheap wickets in the last 10 overs.

Lovely stuff Naidoo!!

I had a minor interest India 1st 10 overs over 73.5, only small though, enough to keep me interested on a wet and cold UK morning!

Will have to ensure I’m working from home Thursday for the big one.

CWC Outright

Have had a poor World Cup so this take must improve South's chances of landing that Protea outright.

Australia face SA in the semi and are favorites to win the match. Everyone knows SA have never won a knock-out match in world cricket. I think India have a good side but they are just not as good as the books are making out. Even India at home to Australia in ODI's is far from convincing as Australia lead the H2H 33-14 in India.
These odds too long in my opinion.

To win World Cup
Australia @ 7/2

India v New Zealand

Batting first in Mumbai has been rewarding. SA - twice and India cruised past the 350 mark and even Afghanistan had a centurion when they batted first against Australia.

Century in the first Yes @ 12/10

The other market that appeals is team with best batsman. Conway top scored when these sides met in round robin. I will take some of the 16/10 on New Zealand should they bat first. (Hopefully the market is still there after the toss otherwise just a small nibble on the NZ win at 5/2)

Thanks Chris and Vann.

I saw on X/Twitter alot of speculation about the toss being fixed for India. India to win the toss and match was 2.40. Crazy but anyway that is a debate for another day.

Ideally would of preferred NZ batting first to make it a more competitive match, as scoreboard pressure will play a big part in these games now.

With India batting first, I think Kohli anchors the innings again and his runs line of 39.5 and PP line of 44.5 at evens each are appealing. After going back and forth on this I took the PP line as Kohli guarantees you a minimum of 1 catch in the field.

Virat Kohli over 44.5 PP - 1/1 (Sunbet)

Nice work on the first semi gents, well played :beer

AUS vs SA

Back at Kolkata and the scene of the Proteas shocking 83 all out against India. Eden Gardens may be the best venue for cricket in India as the spinners and pacers are well catered for. One bet for me before the toss, as I think the odds represent some value. Quinny alongside Rassie is key for us should we want a solid foundation and in Starc and Maxwell, there is plenty of opportunity for Quinny to hit a maximum inside the first 10 overs. This bet should be done inside the PP and hopefully it is with SA batting first.

De Kock over 0.5 sixes - 2.05 (Sportingbet)

Adding one more, probably wont play and will be voided but if he does start in the eleven, then I am confident. He tends to leak runs but always picks up wickets.

Gerald Coetzee over 30.5 PP - 1.83 (Betway)

Aus v SA

Joining Vin on Coetzee.
A lot of batsman in these teams deal in 4's - Warner, Marnus, Smith etc India racked up 35 in their innings here. In the event that SA don't tank this line should be good

Match fours over 50.5 @ 17/20

CWC Final

What was supposed to be an amazing final based on patriotic viewing is now one which should be an Indian procession. All the enjoyment is gone now with SA out, so no big involvement for me here. Rather, I am jumping on the conspiracy train and hoping it doesn't derail at the final stop.

India to win the toss and match @ 31/20

Have been betting only occasionally in the cricket World Cup but it’s been a profitable one to date on limited interest. Im going for following -

No century @ 5/6

Runs have generally flowed but in a final I feel it gets a bit tighter.

Heavily invested in Australia at prices from 7/1 to 7/2. The 9/20 floating around on India no good for cover so hoping India bat first and lose a few early sticks.

For India to win some of these guys need to come to the party so taking

Match runs

Sharma over 28.5 @ evens
Kohli over 40.5 @ evens
Iyer over 31.5 @ evens

Over 1.5 wickets

Shami @ 13/20
Bumrah @ 13/20

Nice thoughts guys and good luck with all your bets.

Besides thats toss punt, I had some winnings on Max inplay in the F1 this morning. So reinvesting all that into:

Rohit Sharma over 3.5 fours at 1.80.

He will go at his destructive best and try to get India to a fast start, irrespective whether batting first or second.

Australia won the toss and Cummins chose to bowl first.

He was smiling and confident while talking to the reporter explaining his choice.

Bet: Australia @2.99

If Australia manages to keep India batting low and the odds for India go higher, I may place a bet on India to leverage this and get a guaranteed profit.

I only need India to come to odds of 1.80 or more.
