I like your Liverpool shots bet South but that line is a few too many for me so I am looking elsewhere. If that line hits than it means Newcastle sat deep and played on the counter trying to soak up pressure. I think it could be one way traffic with Liverpool attacking relentlessly, like how they did against West Ham and Man Utd at Anfield. Liverpool shots and corners will be up there in numbers and that means Van Dijk is a genuine threat for some headers and shots.

Yeah mate a couple too high for what I’d normally take, you are totally correct. What I’m hoping now with Jota fit again is a bit more competition up front and all of the main strikers will be keen to get on scoresheet, can see Nunez attempting from all over tonight if he starts.

What I love about this bet is if Liverpool go behind the bet is usually nailed on after that. But if they get well on top early then it becomes a push goals to help goal difference.

Giovani Lo Celso was very impressive in his start against Bournemouth. He seemed to be everywhere in midfield and played the number 8 role to perfection. With Son now on Asian duty for South Korea, I think Lo Celso will be the creative spark for Spurs until Maddison is ready to go again.

Arsenal vs Liverpool (Sunday)

Klopp mentioned in his presser today that he will rotate for this game but he cant tinker too much as the last thing he wants is a full strength Arsenal vs a Liverpool reserves team. Klopp will have on eye on the midweek EFL Cup semi as well, and he also mentioned that worst case scenario on Sunday is a draw, as he doesn't want a replay jamming the already congested fixture list.

That gives me the impression that Liverpool will go for it if its a draw and we in the last 10 mins. I am taking a play from Southpaw playbook here and taking the Liverpool shots line. Its a couple too low for this Liverpool side, even without Salah.

Nice job on Friday night Vann and thanks South, yes the double did land. Pity about the result Chris, I expected Sunderland to have a go at Newcastle, so was disappointed by their performance.

FA Cup Sunday

I am already on Liverpool shots for this game but I am adding one more speculative card play. The PL mini winter break occurs in the next two weeks (10 teams play next weekend, while the remaining 10 play the following weekend). Arsenal are in the second batch of teams who play, so after the Liverpool game, they are off for around 2 weeks.

That probably means Arteta goes full strength in the FA Cup against Liverpool. I expect Ben White to start and have a busy evening against Nunez, Jota and Diaz. Based on the past meeting between both teams and his PL stats, White will get stuck in and make a tackle or two. His card price is too long for me, and irrespective of game situation, him to get carded is a runner.

Thanks Vin. FA Cup has been a disaster for me for over 40 years. Managed to break even this weekend by lumping large on this bet.
