I got burnt on Reds a fortnight ago but i think this is a tough game for them this weekend.

Piling into the Stormers -11 @ 10/11.

added Stormers -5 HT cap @ 5/6

Going large on Lions - Jaguars under 3.5 penalties @1.7. Teams these days prefer tries.

My impression of Jaguares is that they prefer penalties.
And with Nicolas Sanchez in, I don't blame them, Sanchez slots them from just about any angle.

Taking under 53.5 points in the Stormers game. Think it's going to be cold, windy and maybe even a bit wet

Benetton over 39.5 8/10 WSB at the break - 2 converted tries and wouldn't discount a Banks penalty or 2

Greed rears its ugly head, disappointing 2nd half from Benetton - quite nicely up and may just take a watching brief on Stormers game - at least until the break

Really pleased to see the Reds covering the cap this afternoon against the Stormers, knew the line was way too big earlier on this week and glad to see it land.

JAGUARES V LIONS = LIONS -7 10/11 (William Hill)

As awful as the Lions were last week i do not believe for one second that this Jaguares team is any good at all and they proved that last week against the Reds making god only knows how many errors. Hopefully the Lions will be motivated and play a much more controlled game than they did last week against the Sunwolves at home

likewise, still says 9:40pm UK time / 11:40pm SA time in most places, missed whole 1st half as was out for a meal. And was going to buyJag shirts.

Sums up my day, good work from last night and Stormers HT cap undone by the Stormers complete inability to convert a friggin load of tryline chances when 11 ahead. Dragged me backwards to square for weekend and wanted to use this game to get ahead, early kick off has stuffed that up royally.

The rescheduling in this game has messed it up on Sky Sports over here in the UK  They aren't showing coverage of the game (which they'll be playing in full) until 9:35, as they've currently got Federer vs Kokkanakis on one channel, and the same boxing night on two channels  So inflexible

Yeah real pain, especially as it looks like its being a scorcher of a game  I'm doing quite well out of it but still quite annoying, is worth watching full game on the replay?

Does anyone have an idea as to why the game has kicked off early? Judging by the score so far the Lions are playing like last week against the Sunwolves and replacing the game of Rugby with NBA

Going for WASPS against leicester later today..
Winners of their last 5 outings against each other, and away form pretty good. Got a feeling leicester will chase a win, opening gaps for a very potent WASPS team.
Wasp outright win @ 13/10 hollywood

A note for future betting purposes, I find quite often when there's a red card (for underdogs) early in a game, the following under points and + handicap are always overly inflated as a result.

For example, Bayonne vs Marsan which is being played at the moment. Marsan got a red after 5 minutes and at 15 minutes the score was 3-5, and the handicap was Bayonne -22, and total points at 52. 20 minutes later, and the score is still 3-5, and handicap now just -9 and total points at 34. From recent experience, it seems like red cards make it quite a scrappy game where the team down a man almost shut up shot and keep it tight.

Obviously there's still another half to go here and I might be proved wrong, but maybe it would be more worth looking at the 1st half points and handicaps following a red, before the away team tire late in the game?

Have held the view for a long time that bookies over react with red cards. Whenever a team gets a red card I immediately back them on thr handicap. I have been very successful with this strategy.

Ended up watching the Leicester v Wasps game and had money on Wasps to win on the board..

Couldn't quite believe how many chances Wasps spurned going forward, they should have been home and hosed from the 60th minute onwards. So so poor and only have themselves to blame

Lyon on the -5.5 handicap vs Racing is a gift for those looking to end their weekend punting on a positive note. Lyon is currently sitting a couple of points from the last domestic play off spot (with no European cup commitments) and are rock solid at home (as with all French teams), while Racing are playing a European champions cup fixture against Clermont in a weeks time. They will definately not be pitching up with any intention of winning today.

Just a bit concerned after seeing an almost full strength Racing line up. Hopefully they don't prioritise Top 14 over Champions Cup!

Banker of bankers. UJ will run rings around UCT in the varsity cup tomorrow. Not even a yellow card will stop UJ tomorrow!! Last game of the round, UJ win books then a semi final berth.

It's a worry....the Sportsbooks in the UK are unsure as well...most are -6....but others are -9 on Lyon. I have had a bit back on +8.5 Racing just in case
