The fifth round of English Premier League matches gets underway on Saturday and we take a look at the seven match coupon which includes Liverpool v Everton and Manchester United v Chelsea

Liverpool and Everton contest the first Merseyside derby of the season in the early kick off at Anfield and the hosts boast the EPL's only 100% record and are 3 points clear at the top of the standings. Minimum margin wins and late goals have been the hallmark of Liverpool's season to date and that trend continued at Burnley last weekend and then spilled over into the Champions League in midweek when they saw off Atletico Madrid 3-2.

After an opening round defeat at Leeds Everton have taken 7 points from their last 3 matches a 0-0 draw at home to Villa preceeded by wins at home to Brighton and at Wolves.

Another big derby after the Manchester version last week where I was surprised to see the referee keep his cards in his pocket for the whole game. It got pretty tasty last time these teams met and I'm giving bookings another chance, each team to pick up 2 or more is my play.

Bets: Both teams to have 2 or more cards? Yes at 0.88/1 with Sportingbet

Brighton host a Spurs side who marked their return to the UCL with a 1-0 home win over Villarreal in midweek. Brighton have 4 points to show for their efforts so far, all those points were earned in home fixtures, a 1-1 draw with Fulham and 2-1 win over Man City.

Spurs have 9 points and their 3 wins all came with a clean sheet including road trips to Man City (2-0) and West Ham (3-0). Their only blemish came at home to Bournemouth, a 1-0 home defeat in Round 3.

Brighton's home form easily trumps 2 below par displays on the road but they picked up a couple more knocks in their defeat at Bournemouth last week. Although Spurs were involved in the UCL in midweek I think the visitors are capable of winning this.

Bets: Spurs to win, at 2.04/1 with Pokerbet

Burnley clash with Notts Forest at Turf Moor. They came within seconds of holding Liverpool out in a home fixture last week before going down 1-0 to a late penalty. Their only points this season came in a Round 2 home fixture against Sunderland which they won 2-0.

Forest exited the EFL Cup with a late collapse at Swansea in midweek, that defeat came on the back of a 3-0 loss at Arsenal last weekend in what was Postecoglou's first game in charge. Their only points came in the first 2 rounds, a 3-1 victory at home to Brentford followed by a 1-1 draw at Palace.

Big Ange needs to get his show on the road but Burnley have staying power and this looks tricky. Lyle Foster has been giving his all and gets my vote to pop up with a goal.

Bets: Anytime Goalscorer Lyle Foster at 5/2 with Pokerbet

West Ham host Crystal Palace in a London derby. West Ham's only points came in their penultimate outing, a 3-0 win at Forest but they couldn't build on that when they went down 3-0 at home to Spurs in Round 4. They also conceded 3 goals in a defeat at Sunderland and another 5 in a home game against Chelsea.

Palace are unbeaten with 3 draws and a 3-0 win at Villa, one earlier London derby saw them draw 0-0 at Chelsea on the opening weekend.

I take the view Palace a better side away from home, hitting on the counter and I can see them picking West Ham off a couple of times here. Mateta is my any time goalscorer pick.

Bets: Anytime Goalscorer Mateta at 1.55/1 with Sportingbet

Wolves are the only side yet to earn a point and can be found at the foot of the standings as they prepare for a crucial home game against Leeds. The only league game in which Wolves have found the net this season came in a 3-2 home defeat to Everton in Round 3.

After a 1-0 home win over Everton Leeds have failed to find the net. They did draw 0-0 at home to Newcastle but lost 5-0 at Arsenal and most recently a late own goal saw them go down 1-0 at Fulham.

I see scope for a few draws this weekend and this game is one of them.

Bets: Match Result Draw widely available at 22/10

Manchester United clash with Chelsea at Old Trafford in the evening kick off. United went down 3-0 away to City in last week's Manchester derby to remain on the 4 points earned from a 3-2 home win over Burnley and 1-1 draw at Fulham. Another earlier home game saw them edged out 1-0 by Arsenal.

Chelsea were in UCL action on Wednesday when they lost 3-1 to Bayern in Munich and they return to league action unbeaten with 2 wins and 2 draws. They were pegged back late on by Brentford in a 2-2 draw away from home in Round 4 but their away win was emphatic, crushing West Ham 5-1.

United continue to test their fans patience but I haven't always been knocked out by Chelsea's form this season. A goal range bet of 2-3 in total is all I have to offer.

Bets: Goal Range 2-3 at 12/10 with Betway

The final match on Saturday is another London derby between Fulham and Brentford at Craven Cottage. Fulham's late winner at home to Leeds is their only win this season although they have drawn at home to Man United and away at Brighton.

Brentford have 4 points from 2 home games but on the road they have lost at Forest (3-1) and Sunderland (2-1).

I've respect for Fulham and Brentford look to be improving and I'm with both teams to find the net in a game of 3 goals or more in total.

Bets: Both teams to score and total goals, yes and over 2.5 at 13/10 with Sportingbet
