Thursday sees the Ladies Singles semi finals take place in the French Open at Roland Garos, there is top golf action with the RBC Canadian Open getting underway, Australia clash with West Indies in the Cricket World Cup and England take on the Netherlands in the Uefa Nations League.
Cricket World Cup
Trent Bridge Nottingham is the venue for Thursday’s match up between Australia and West Indies. It promises to be a cracker after both teams won their respective opening matches of the tournament with more than a degree of comfort.

French Open Tennis
Britain’s Johanna Konta will face Czech teenager Marketa Vondrousova in our featured Ladies Singles semi final. Neither player has made it to the final of a major tournament before and Konta, who has dropped just 1 set on her way to the last 4, is currently favourite at 15/20 whilst Vondrousova is priced at 21/20. Football
The second of the Uefa Nations League semi finals sees the Netherlands paired with England. The Dutch finished ahead of France and Germany to make it to these play offs and England’s form was equally impressive as they topped their pool ahead of Spain and Croatia. The winners here will meet the victors of the earlier semi final between host nation Portugal and Switzerland.
At the time of writing England were slight favourites at 31/20 with the draw trading at 22/10 and the Netherlands could be backed at 18/10. After a long season how much is left in the tank for many of these players is open to debate but a game of 3 goals or more in total is priced at 19/20 whilst the price for both sides to find the net is 15/20.
If the scores are level at the end of regulation time and if extra time doesn’t produce a winner we go to penalty kicks. The price for a shoot out is 9/2.

In the world of golf we have the US Open to look forward to next week but first many of the leading players will be in Hamilton, Ontario for the RBC Canadian Open.
Dustin Johnson is the defending champion and currently market leader ahead of recent PGA Championship winner Brooks Koepka. Both players are clearly in top form right now whilst further down the list Scott Piercy has been mentioned as a lively contender at an attractive price.
