The aim of taking alternative handicaps is to profit at a smaller price if your original selection is slightly off. Last week I took the Lions on a big alternative cap against the Bulls and they won the match and I fully expected the Force +14.5 to arrive to deliver the Newsletter Best Bet.
Amazingly they shipped 70 points to the Reds and lost by 49 and it is fair to say we never got a run for our money. Overall I had a decent, but not spectacular weekend and I am still waiting for 2023 to really kick into gear.

SCOTLAND TO FIGHT HARD
It is a weekend where I like a lot but nothing strong and so I am happy to defer this weeks best bet to last night guests who were aligned on Scotland on the handicap.
This is the last time the sides will meet before RWC23 and both coaches will be throwing everything at this one. He Irish are worthy favourites but the Scots hae beaten England away and pushed France at home and in front of a packed Murrayfield I think they can beat the handicap here.
