Last weekend was looking like being one of my worst for some time. I was on one of those runs where my small bets won and my big bets lost.
I had highlighted Leicester -9.5 as the Best Bet of the weekend in the Newsletter and going into that game I was seriously chasing and wanted to get further involved. The problem was the line had moved to -11.5, but let’s face it you don’t think rationally when you are down and I had a big play at that line. It became clear early on that this was going to be no comfortable victory for Leicester and with 10 minutes to go I was still two scores shy of beating the handicap.
When they led by 10 points with 2 minutes to go I was kicking myself for taking the -11.5, but then Ford stepped up and slotted a penalty which delivered the reckless bet and although I still lost money on the weekend I somehow felt a winner – hardened punters will know this feeling.
THE HANDICAP – FINALS WEEKEND
The atmosphere is certainly building ahead of Finals weekend and on last nights THE HANDICAP, our Rugby Betting Show I was joined by @BettingStig and @theCRowetips
It is probably an indication that the bookmakers have got their lines spot on as there wasn’t a lot of agreement between the panel and even the lads in the live chat were at odds with each other on occasions.

BULLS TO SHOW BMT
For long periods last week it looked as though the Stormers were going to suffer another semi-final defeat. Credit to them for getting up for a dramatic win but it still left me with question marks about their temperament. There is no doubting the Bulls winning culture though and their win over Leinster was excellent albeit bloody costly for me.
The Stig was very confident in a Bulls win on the show and that was just the push I needed to get involved.
