I was reminded last week that calling a line movement is well and good but it means little if you don’t profit from it. I had confidently labelled the Lions over 35.5 points as my best bet and the line started 37.5 as they hosted a poor Cardiff team.
They scored 34 points with a late try making the bet look a lot closer than it actually was.
An annoying loss on a weekend where I showed a small profit thanks to a 12/1 treble taken early in the week.
This weekend has been a mixed bag so far although with my PGA pick Rory stumbling badly and “BG’s Bolter” already on his way home, the pressure is on to hit a rugby bet or two.

DOUBLING BULLS AND GLASGOW POINTS
I am going to change tactics for the Best Bet this week.
I fancy Glasgow to beat the Lions and went over 59.5 in my preview for the Bulls v Benetton with a lean to Bulls points which were not out at the time.
The points line has moved to 63.5 and Bulls points is 42.5.
I am playing 2 short prices combining my fancies in the 2 highveld fixtures.
The 1st leg is 42/100 Bulls over 36.5 points into a double onto Glasgow over 22.5 points at 4/11.
The double works out at 20/21
Not usually my style but hey when you are battling with form you need to mix things up a bit and I would bite your hand off for the win.
