The latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with Rugby World Cup best bets, a round up of the featured articles, videos and podcasts plus a 10.6/1 weekend acca
I find myself in a very strange position going into tomorrow’s World Cup Final. We will be watching with friends all clad in Bok jerseys and I may well be in the green and gold as well, but my money has been firmly on England since the start of the Tournament.
I was also surprised when the initial (-3.5) handicap opened up and took some of that as I really though England should have been 8 point favourites. The line has moved to current levels of (-5.5) and in this week’s Citizen’s blog I compare betting on England against South Africa to taking money out of the country as I hedge against a falling Rand.

HANDICAP PANEL SPLIT DOWN THE MIDDLE
We had a full house of 4 panelists join me on last night’s show and while in the Bronze Medal match a couple of us were bullish on New Zealand, the others chose to sit out But in the final there was no fence sitting and the panel was split with the Conductor and Oracle siding with the Boks while Couch Critic, Hanrick and myself fancied the English.
If you haven't seen THE HANDICAP “Rugby Chat that Matters” yet, you can click here to watch and see Oracle and I entering into another friendly wager.
As far as this week’s best bet goes I am going to stick with the English, who have served me well all Tournament. The early (-3.5) has gone, but there is still some (-4.5) available at Hollywood and that is where I am heading.
BET: 6 Units, England (-4.5) at Hollywood
Oracle Rugby pointed out some potential value on last night’s show and he likes Pollard to be the top points scorer. He did point out he is already heavily involved in this bet from the start so won’t be taking more and I see the line has shortened from 15/10 to 13/10.
He explained some of the scenarios in the show, but bottom line is if Ford kicks for England then Pollard must be a massive favourite to land this and although it is not my intention it does offer a nice little hedge against my England long term bets.
The perfect scenario for me is Pollard topping the scoring charts and England winning the match and beating the handicap.
BET: 3 Units, Pollard Top Points Scorer at 13/10 at WSB
