Boks2021 1The latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with best bets for the weekend 29th, 30th July

It is great to be back after a week off with no International Rugby, but it was at least a profitable one for me backing Brian Harman at 150/1 to win The Open.  A lot of people said The Open was boring to watch and I can tell you that ticking off every hole in that final round was far from it.

Apologies that this newsletter is coming out so late, but I will blame a combination of load shedding and my tendency to procrastinate.

THE HANDICAP
For those who haven't seen Thursday nights THE HANDICAP, our Rugby Betting Show yet I was joined by @Mondo and @HanrickSwart and there was a fair alignment on the games as well as from those in the live chat.  Direct links to the two Rugby Championship Previews below.

BOKS TO FIRE AT THE EMIRATES
I actually handicapped the Boks at -12.5 when I did my regular Sunday night exercise and when the line came out at 18.5 I had to make a decision as to whether it was me or the bookmakers that were off the mark.  I sided with the former and stayed out of things but as the week has progressed, I fancy the Springboks more and more.

First up I like the team they have selected, but I also wonder if there isn’t going to be a drop off from the Argentines in this game after the excellent win in Australia and I think it was Hanrick who pointed out they could be saving themselves for a home game against the Boks next week.

Mondo was particularly confident about Boks points and I can tell you that waking up this morning it is a perfect day in Johannesburg and I would be very surprised if the points don’t flow.

I would have had an ACCA in this week if I had got going a bit earlier, but we have missed the early rugby game (the boys were spot on with the Fiji call) and I am going to resist throwing in any Netball matches after my first bet went missing yesterday.
Rugby aside there is great cycling today where Remco Evenepoel looks for 3 in a row in the San Sebastian, The Ashes and Netball continues and my good mate and partner Chris Sturdy has an interest in Royal Victory priced at 16/1 in the 3rd – I am going to have an each way nibble.

Have a good one!
